I gained about twenty pounds in two years due to stress and my crazy schedule
I am so unmotivated to workout by myself, so I'm going to enroll in classes where I have to pay--therefore will force myself to go.
What classes (ex: yoga, pilates, kickboxing, cycling, swimming, etc) do you think would be best to lose weight?
Thanks!

I'd say body sculpt and kickboxing/aerobics. You need both resistance and cardio to shed the fat.
Money, sometimes, isn't enough for a motivator. You need to find something else to push yourself.
Grab a friend with a similar goal so you can encourage/force each other to go to each class.
Yoga and pilates are good too but I find body sculpt to be more basic and you can do it at home without worrying about doing it wrong.

Swimming is a definite yes!
Swimming actually works out a lot of different parts of your body and its also fun. ^^
Kick boxing is also very entertaining especially when you're angry. x]]

I was looking at taking aerobics kickboxing at my school too. I even checked the profs for the classes and the reviewers even said they lost the weight. But swimming is very good too.

muscle building.. like sculpting your body? making it more define? lol usually has nothing to do with losing fat..
i think running would be the best.. but that's only if you know how to run properly. cuz if you don't you get huge calf muscles.

Eh.. in my school it's a combo of defining/toning all your muscles (sit ups, push ups, steps, dumbbells, etc). From what I know, resistance training is good.. but of course you can't lose weight with cardio. You have to balance both to get nice results. Cardio alone can only get you so far.. at some point you'll want to tone your body.
