is it true that if you dye your hair to a reddish color, it ALWAYS fades away?

and is burgundy considered red?

Reds do have the tendency to quickly fade into a brownish shade. And yes, I'm pretty sure burgundy is considered to be red. I've dyed my hair burgundy before, and it faded within like two weeks sad.gif

Yeah, I've done my red maybe 4 or 5 times, and it always fades after the first week. Even the natural color red is the fastest color to fade--a lot of redheads lose a lot of their pigmentation after they have their first kid.

Red fades faster than any other color, it drives me absolutely crazy because I love dyeing my hair reddish-brown. However, using a color-stay shampoo and conditioner does help a little bit.

If you take good care of it, you can maintain a nice colour for a while.

You have angered the Sun god Ra, you must make amends immediately.
I've heard that Ra is a fan of fondue parties.

Reds fade reaaally fast. John Freida's hair products for red hair works pretty well in maintaining the color for a longer period of time.

Nah, if you colour it red.
Just don't wash your hair right away.
Try not to wash your hair for... 2 days?

LOL yes I know.. disgusting.
But that's the only way I know how to keep the colour stay.
