This was the probably THE most anticipated album of the year for me because I adore Nada Surf. I'm really drawn to their sound... and I've never heard anyone like them -- they have this melancholic, warm, and sincere draw and their cult hit everyone gives them credit for (Popular) sorely misrepresents them. I've had See These Bones on my play list ever since the first let it out for download which was several months ago -- and I still find that song to be stunning. I don't normally post lyrics... but you just have to read them (down below) to understand the caliber of this group. I can't say I love this album more than The Weight is a Gift but Lucky is definitely not disappointing. The same ol' familiar Nada Surf sound with a slight bit of a revamp.
