I do know that the ACT has a test prep that has questions
from past ACT tests. I think that it's like 20.00 or something like that.

I mainly used Princeton Review books. Honestly though, I didn't really even study for anything, but I would say that the best way to study is to do a lot of practice tests and for each answer you get wrong you should check the answer page for why it's wrong or ask someone to help you with that problem. I didn't take AP Biology, but I took AP US History and I just read through the practice book once. A lot of it has to do with remembering dates. Try to remember the order of when things come in and remember the dates to the most important things. Even if you don't get all the dates down, if you know the order you can guess how and when things occur. It helped me a lot on the exam.

Mostly, I would say start studying now. It doesn't help to cram it all in later. Down to the last few days, you should take a few last practice tests and just take a break. Get a lot of sleep, eat healthy, that stuff. It really does help. Even if you cram, when it comes to the test you won't remember it then.

Question directed to those who have taken SATs & ACTs & Passed:
Which books have you used to study, if used?

Theres many out there. I bought a (Collegeboard) one, because thats the 'company?' that made the tests. however, it didn't include the "400 most frequently used vocabulary" list or anything, that princeton (according to my friend) included.

Please and Thank you! (:

I personally do not think the Princeton Review prepares me for the SATS, ACTS, and AP tests. Their questions are not that similar to the actual tests and are not very helpful overall.

I use Barrons, Kaplan, and Collegeboard (math) and they're REALLY good! I especially like Barrons..its simply the best!

@hiphopislove21:
Hmm, I'll look at Barrons SAT/ACTS/AP tests and see how they are like. So far i've only used Kaplan AP World history book.

I know there are soompi-ers out there who has taken the SAT/ACTS, so if you have taken it, and used a book, which would you suggest?

I have nothing to compare to since I only use Princeton. Since some people say it's not as good, I would suppose it isn't... but I think the book specifically made for critical reading/writing worked out well for me. It gave a lot of useful hints and ways to get to answers and that stuff. I don't know much about Barrons since they seem to give too much information to me, so I stuck with Princeton.

A friend of mine told me that the best way to pass the ACT/SAT is to
go into the test with a clear mind.

If you're looking for books, go for Barrons.
I find Kaplan a little too easy, Princeton Review isn't all that similar either..

I heard Kaplan was at first designed for grad school so their HS test books aren't as good
But I don't know if that's true lol

from my own experience..
ap bio-get cliffnotes!! i don't read the textbook and i just read cliffnotes. i've been doing pretty well in the class.
apush-i took it last year and i recommend the amsco book. it's a tiny book with a summary of practically everything you need to know. they have sample dbq questions and multiple choice questions (without answers but you can always argue with your nerdy friends about what answer is right XD). i read the majority of the amsco book before the ap test, kept up with my work and i got a 5 biggrin.gif
if you need any help with apush stuff, you can PM me if you want. i tutor in apush right now so things are still fresh in my head.
good luck!! smile.gif

Just don't be stupid. The SAT is a piece of cake. You don't need to take both the ACT and the SAT. AP Biology is a joke, and AP US History is even more so.

Stop crying about it, it doesn't do you any good.
