What type of facial is it?
And i don't think one would make a difference at all.

Your face may be a little more red immediately after the facial but it should die down faster. If your face is currently at a state where it's constantly swollen and red from your acne, the facial should help.
Generally you should rest your face for a day but I've rested for the rest of the day I've gotten my facial and then went with makeup the next day. If your case of acne is more extreme, I'd recommend that you forgo anything you would apply to your cheeks and forehead (foundation, powder, anything with vitamin E oil) for a few days and just go with eye makeup.

pprMNTE <-- exactly what I was going to say ^^. Also, I do suggest getting facials regularly. My cousin and I used to have a lot of acne, and after my mom (an esthetician) put us on a strict facial regimen (a facial every other week) our acne died down a lot as well as our faces were so much more softer feeling. After the facials I used Bio-Oil.. I found that it really decreased my chances of getting scars after getting the acne popped.
Drop all the extra cosmetic stuff that you use on your face and wash twice in the morning and night. I found that my number one enemy in fighting my acne was not washing it well enough. Mom grabbed my face after I washed it one night and rewashed it with a new white towel..(it came out looking slightly brown..yuk).
Also, my mom's also told me that you shouldn't go to a cheap place either. A good facial costs $50+.. any cheaper and you wont be sure that they're using the good products like Dermalogica (the one my mom uses)... Sort of something along the lines of getting your money's worth.. you pay for what you get ^^.
Hope this helped @.@.

You remind me of a phenylalanine residue coded by a tRNA molecule because of its complimentary base pairing on an mRNA strand because all I can think about is U U U. <3 Peter

hahaha i just got one today!! after your facial, ur face gets red most of the time.. depends on how much acne u have i guess. it takes about a day for the redness to go away or less than that if u dont have much pimples. and im sure by thursday, you'll be able to go out with makeup! you can probably get out with makeup the next day as well ^^
