Hi, I'm from California, and I recently graduated (this past summer) and have been attending a community college for just about 2 semesters now. But my family and I are planning on moving to NY later this year and I was just wondering if anyone knows any good community colleges in the NY/upperNJ area. Any help would be greatly appreciated cuz i'm clearly at a loss about schools on the East coast. Also, if anyone knows anything about how to go about doing transfers, please include that as well (more specifically, any information about transferring to Rutgers or into the SUNY system). Again, any community college that has a good reputation (like good rates for transferring). Any advice would be great. Thanks ^^

Thanks for ur reply! Can I ask you a couple questions about Bergen CC? Just some stuff like what is the area like? Big city? Suburbs? What is the majority of the population? White? Asian? What majors did your friends have? Was it hard to transfer? Sorry for all these questions sweatingbullets.gif

BCC is located in Paramus, NJ. There are currently about 18,000 students registered (part time and full time) and it's very diverse. There are many Asians (mostly fob Koreans) but they don't seem to socialize much. Lots of Hispanics and Caucasians. The classes are good, and if you get a great professor, it's even better. Just read reviews on RateMyProfessor :D
