I've been reading what people have said about washing (whitening) your face with rice water, but in order to get rice water, obviously you gotta wash the rice in water.. lol. but anyways, moving on to the point. Isnt rice dirty..? And when you wash it in water, doesnt that turn the water dirty and if you apply it to your face.. it means any chance of getting acne or anything like that?

I always thought that it was the actual rice husks (the yellow shell), not the white rice with the outside removed, that exfoliated your skin and made it lighter and was good for you =S

Yeah that's what I was concerned about.

Because the whole reason to wash the rice is because it's dirty..
...and then putting the dirty water on your face?

You could try and do what SuGaBaBi suggested and use the second rinsing water.

Haha and tell us if he whole rice water for whitening thing works!

Rinse the rice 2-3 times smile.gif

My mom told me this a long time ago but I actually never tried to rinse my face with rice water before. I guess it does help clean ur face so I should try it. I don't think rice is dirty, u just wash it 2-3 time to get rids of starch.

I don't think rice you buy is dirty in the first place. I'm sure whoever harvested/manufactured the rice/packages, washed the rice before sending it to stores.
I did it with the water on the first rinse and it helped me, but if you don't like the first rinse, use the second rinse ones. : )

It does help, but you use the 1st water.

Have you cooked rice? You know that you have to wash it it 2-3 times
before placing it in the cooker. So the 1st time you do it..
after rubbing the rice you`ll get a "milk like substance" color liquid.
Pour that into a separate bowel, which you will used later.
If you are worried it that it might be "dirty" filter it then use a cloth and
dabbed it and rinse then wipe your face.
Like those make up removing cloth.

But remember not to wash your face with water after (so its best if you do it before you go to bed)

I've done it for about 3 months before I stopped due to busy schedule. And it helps!

It also leaves your skin feeling soft in the morning <3

Yeah that's what I thought too. I think using rice water, milk, lemons or whatever to lighten yourself is nothing compared to creams, soaps, etc.

i used it a while back. id wash the rice 2-3 times and every time i 'empty' the water id put it in a tofu box ph34r.gif even from the first wash to the third >.<
my sister noticed it and i didnt even tell her that i was using it so i guess it worked a little.
i used it ... every night for i think two weeks and then i got lazy and stopped.
