Mainly because...I want to expand my Korean music to actually talented artist.
I have yet to listen to a Korean rapper (ex. female rappers) that havn't ripped a line or 20 from some underground rapper in the US. Quite amazing they even know who those underground rappers are but I guess they don't have to worry about that darn copy right law. lol and I have yet to listen to a singer in Korea that actually has the talent to take part in creating their own album and not just lend their cute little voice to a pointless song. That includes some of the more talented stronger vocals in Korea...anyone could have a good voice with the right training, not everyone can write a song that is actually able to sell I guess.
..And also because I'm wondering what people here consider an artist when it comes to music.
It Usually includes writing most of your own work, whether you're working with another writer with more experience (or on your own), it means taking some part in actually creating your own album and in some cases putting the music together, if you have a talent in playing something like the piano, guitar..ect. That is being an artist.
But I think most people on here think it includes being cute, that's always a first right. Lol..and having a above average voice, or a sucky one just as long as your cute / hotness makes up for it. oh and of course the dancing that has somehow found it's way into being more important in the MUSIC scene in Korea. And I guess a decent video with all the right clothes. And sometimes just having a cute persona on camera will make you sell. I guess this is why more singers in the US make millions while singers in Korea...sell as much as they're worth. lol
So please don't list sold products like SUJU and DBSG...And any other typical pop products digustingly similar to them if not the exact same concept, because that would just be plain going off topic.
