Have you guys heard of the Natura Classica Film cameras??
These cameras are only offered and sold in Japan.

I recently purchased off ebay but I haven't purchased any film yet. Im really excited and want to badly take my first roll of pictures. The camera itself is also very compact. You get a pouch, battery, strap, Japanese manual, and Natura.

The main feature of this camera is it has a "natural photo" mode, where you dont need to use flash in indoors or the dark.
The results are very natural and look somewhat "photoshopped"

Here are some examples of the pictures:

OH. MY. GOSH. These photographs are gorgeous! O:
The quality seems almost SLR-ish.
I guess it's worth your AUD350? Heh.

I think that it's important as well what film you use as well as what camera you use. And the most important is the skills of the photographer. I've heard a lot of good things about that camera smile.gif

//edit
So in order to achieve the true "natura" effects, you need the fujifilm natura ISO 1600 film as well. So if you use regular film and you're not getting the desired results, then it's time to buy the film as well I guess biggrin.gif

Exactly.
You need to purchase the ISO1600 film to get the effects. However the photos posted above are not all taken with the Natura Films. You can still get the NP effects with other <800 ISO speed films.

I'm drooling on the depth of field and the texture of those photos!

The tones of the fujifilms respectively go up agaisn't the sharpness of the german Zeiss lens and the color tones of the Leica fairly well. Hands down nothing in the market beats the colors of the fujifilm tongue.gif Fuji is one of the strong house manufacturers in the film market today. I always loved it, and always will.

I've heard about the Fuji Natura. All in all its a great point and shoot but its a camera no more then for purpose of daylight shooting. With an expected film roll of ISO 1600 there's a degree of grain you'll see in indoor shooting and its evident espicially without the flash. But I admit its probably one of the few cameras with the most range for light sensivity. If anything its a really good bang for the buck and its good for what it does.

Great wide angle, great aperture, and great ergonomics. I wouldn't think twice if I had the money.

^Are you talking about the Natura Classica or the Natura S?

If I were getting a Natura camera I'd go for the discontinued Natura S because of the large aperture f/1.9... I checked on eBay and it's $500... With that money I'd rather get a DSLR imo... But if I see it cheap in Japan some day, I'd definitely get it as well ^^

the classica biggrin.gif
I don't think its worth paying $200 more then the retailed price of the classica for the natura S. The creamy DOF of the F/1.9 is enough to make my eyes spark up but there's too much of a price gap between the F/2.8 then what you could get with the classica. The fact that its discontinued makes it harder for me to go with the S as well. If I ever do have the money, I'd probably save up for a rangefinder haha. Portability and accessability for a 35mm means a lot to me. Digital is a different story though.

Why can't digital cameras get that same classic quality of film cameras? I just hate the idea of spending additional money on film >__<

You can, but it requires a lot of skill in Photoshop.
