not so much prepping, make sure you have a loofa though so you can exfoliate your skin in the shower after you've gotten waxed

I'll just talk about the Brazilian Wax experience.
Ok, first of all, be courteous and shower. Exfoliate down there (it'll be worth it- you don't want ingrowns and it'll loosen up the skin around the hairs). Trim if it's longer than 1/4th of an inch. Do not shave. Now would be a good time to mention that if you are accustomed to shaving and suddenly decide to grow it out a bit and get a wax... it's going to be a lot more painful. That hair is at its thickest thanks to the shaving. O_o. Good luck with that if you have.
Pick an esthetician (aka waxer) that works at a reputable salon and schedule an appointment early. Dress comfortably and in comfy underwear. It is not advised that you go if you're on the week before or during your period (gross for the waxers, and you're much more sensitive down there). Your esthetician should be professional, pleasant, and patient. She will ask you to disrobe on your own and give you time to prepare. Some nicer places provide you with an anesthetic spray that helps numb the area. I don't think the spray does much, but it helps if you're psychologically convinced it does. Oops.
Your esthetician will come back in and prep the wax. She should be using mostly cold wax (the kind that dries onto your hair, not your skin). This wax, mind you, is still hot, but it doesn't tug onto your skin. It is also more expensive, so if you go to a salon that is cheap, you will get what you paid for (i.e. red, irritated painful bikini area for a few days). Good waxists will use a combination of both hot and cold wax specific to the area they are treating.
She will move around the area and alternate sides to prevent overstimulation. Wax is hot when it goes on, and it is rubbed a bit to let it cool before it is quickly torn off. This hurts, but only for a few seconds, and certain areas are much more sensitive than others. Some women get "landing strips" because the top of the mons is especially sensitive. Trust me, those 2 tugs there hurt, but if you're paying for a Brazilian, you might as well take it all off.
The waxer will make you lift your legs and flip over to remove all your hair. Yes, this includes your a$$crack, which is actually the least painful part of the experience. Some girls say it feels good.
It should take 10-30 minutes, depending on your freaking bush. Wax in L.A. off of Melrose does a fantastic 7-minute speed tear. Haha. Anyway, expect it to hurt, but it's so worth the results! The area will be sensitive depending on your skin type. It's a good idea to use a scrub that contains acne treatment to prevent ingrown hairs during your next few showers for maintenance. And moisturize!
Oh, and leg waxing is almost painless.

i did the leg wax before. i hated the thighs because it hurted so much! it became so red and even bleed. The lady who did it said it was normal.. highly doubt that. she keep doing the same spot repeatedly.. i will do more research of where to go next. yelp.com is very helpful

it takes some practice, but i got it handled...
...but someone mentioned to take a hot shower before, but i dont recommend that since your skin is most supple after a shower (prone to skin rippage) and the hair is gonna break easier (instead of being pulled out by the root)...
fyi: the most painful part of the wax is at the front (at the top of the middle "cleavage" of a camel toe to be precise haha), it's a very small patch but it hurts.

I'll probably put too much wax on and it'll harden on my skin. T~T
