Bumping old topic! Does anybody know any good alternative rock songs that could be easy to sing as an acoustic? A friend and I are planning to do a duet, so I'm trying to pick out some good songs before we make our choice.. a good example would be The Scientist - Coldplay. It doesn't neccessarily have to be a duet song, because we'll find a way around it. THANKS =)!

All of Troy and Gabrielle's duets (or whatever their names are) from, get this, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL xDDD

J/K ... Unless, of course, you're serious. o__o;

Well someone mentioned Timeless (the english version) above already ... There's Tim McGraw and Faith Hill duets that you could do, although, I can't think of any that I can name of at this time. xD

Good-luck. ^-^;

I think you can choose any song (that fits your voices), split the lyrics after your vocal registers and add some harmonizations if there isn't a lot of them, but that's just my personal opinion since I think the highlights in duets are the harmonization parts tongue.gif

When you believe - Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey (for power houses)

Against all odds (originally a solo by Phil Collins but I've heard A LOT of duet versions of this and it's personally one of my favourites ^^)

I've had the time of my life with Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes (dirty dancing soundtrack justbecause I couldn't think of an uptempo duet right now tongue.gif)

Islands in the stream is also a classic

Hm...I'll just try to list some that immediately come to mind...might not necessarily fit the part you want though, but I guess they'll still be ideas. So here goes...anything by:

Foo Fighters
Jet
Five for Fighting
Incubus
Jack's Mannequin
Matchbox 20
3 Doors Down

My best bet is on some old Incubus songs though.

Yellow by Coldplay is one I've seen done a few times too.
I give up on 411's.
