Just wondering are those protective screen (plastic) worth buying and putting on especially with all the hardcore stylus games that are out right now.

would you pay around $6-10 dollars to try it?

i had some screen protectors for my phone and ipod (i dont have a DS) and the quality of them seems to vary a lot. one of the cheaper ones i got was really thin and flismy. the $10 one i got was really thick and clear..cant remember the brand. there was another one..the one that claimed that it was used on helicopter blades or something..but that one wasnt as crystal clear as the other $10 i tried. but if you're really protective of your DS, just go for any decent one.

applying and aligning them without getting a crap load of dust is the hardest part though...

yeah they are worth buying, just make sure you get a good brand because some manufacturers produce cheap quality ones. also make sure the screen protector isnt too thick otherwise it'll cause problems with your touch screen later. i believe the "best" one or highly talked about one is from hyori. you can also try clarivue, i think they make decent screen protectors.

I need to buy some for my DS too D= Last time I had them but I was annoyed by all the bubbles that showed up. And the good ones generally run for $10ish

ive had my ds for a while now
i try not to poke too hard with my stylus
the screen protector is scratched up but im sure my screen is fine
i say its worth it

I have a screen protector. I sometimes play some hardcore stylus games too hehe... so I say it's worth it.
Just make sure you put it on properly before trying, I bought like 3 of them and kept screwing it up because I still had dust in there and lots of bubbles, i messed up all 3 of them But the one I just put on afew weeks ago looks fine

of course they're worth it! you don't want your screen scratched up and dented through all that tapping, dragging, etc.

I've tried a couple of brands and found Hori to be the best. You can sometimes find it in Gamestop. Hori brand screen protectors are probably a whole lot easier to buy online though (try play-asia.com, they're reliable). Be careful about the bad cheap ones. They're hard to get off when you want to replace them and you might scratch your screen in the process (don't use sharp objects!!). The Hori ones come off pretty easy and leave no residue.

I've used screen protectors for my DS.

Yes it does protect your screen from scratches but it doesn't protect it from damaging the screen.

My touch screen is already damaged and the sensor is way off now. A bit disappointing considering I took good care of it. And I can't claim it on warranty because it happened 18 months after I got it

that was the first thing i brougt for my ds
i put it on before when i first open the screen
i forgot what brand i got but it was on sale for about $10
& it came with two pens
kept my ds in perfect condition

i think its worth it. make sure u get a hori one, they are the best ones. u can get some from here linky

you should try invisishield or i recommend bestskinsever (google it). bestskinsever is exactly like invisishield except cheaper. they except paypal and stuff. and the skins they have for the ds is $10 which includes skins to wrap the whole ds, not jsut the screens. and its definitely worth it since my little cousin who doesnt have a screen protector scratched his screen so much that you can't see the images clearly anymore.

i have the bestskinsever one and they are they best. and once you remove it, it looks liek your ds is new, leaving no residue.

My DS came with a screen protector but I went nuts with cooking mama and it's a little scratched now. I bought one 2 days ago online for $1.50 lol.

Well it's not as thick but im pretty sure it is one.
