try a integra ls, i think all the 2001+ civic are ugly. i would recommend a civic si, or a integra gsr since you wanted a more sporty trim, but they only come in sticks.

Yeah, not a bad choice. The civic is a great car. However, you dont have any driving experience, I suggest getting a used car thats a bit cheaper. How about an older generation Acura Integra, Civic, maybe even a bigger accord?

i just got my license in sept. and i got a new civic coupe and i must say it's one of the easiest cars to drive. everyone who has driven my car has said it's so easy to drive. i've driven some of my friends' cars and my parents' cars and i still think the civic is the best to drive. the only thing i hate about the coupe is that the back is sooooooooo small, but who cares if you're the driver, right? the gas mileage is pretty good too. mine is a 2007 and i think i get 30mpg local and 40 mpg on the highway, but i think the 2008 gets even better mpg...i'm not completely sure though. i suggest you go research.

Most likely you can work a brand new LX down to ~15-16k*, if you're looking at getting a 2dr.

EX's can probably be haggled down to ~17-18k*.

*depending on options.
