hi! im staying in California for almost 5 mos now on a visitors visa and i want to apply for a student visa. Can somebody tell me how the process goes and how long will it take??? Thanks so much!

My big question for you is what nationality are you? If you want student visa, all you have to do is
a) apply for a school
-when you're accepted they'll send you an I-20 and after that you'll follow the steps within the I-20 to fill out this specific form online.
-After that you'll go make an appointment at the US embassy in your country
-They'll interview you and decide whether you can get a visa or not.

if you're a student, you have to be accepted at a school in the usa.
from then on you can just apply for the visa.
cause you're approved by the school to stay.
but, yah.
i have to do mines soon.
