My favorite course was on China's cultural revolution.

Two reasons: 1. Amazing professor - probably the best professor I've had at college. 2. Really really interesting subject. Before taking this course, I knew basically nothing about the cultural revolution. And I took this course thinking that it would be boring - i was totally wrong.

POLITICS OF AFRICA.

before... I HAD NO CLUE ABOUT AFRICA WHATSOEVER.
yah, it was colonized. that's it.

now i want to work there!
maybe do volunteer work there too.

im an international studies/politics major,
and africa has sooo much politics.

i believe this is one of those, 'dang, this is hella right.' feelings. smile.gif

thanks for the great topic.
take care.
good luck with school.

Hmm.. It would probably be:

ASIAN AMERICAN STUDIES- The Social Psychology Perspective of Asian Americans

A lot of things were answered for me regarding traditions/cultures and understanding my parents' way of doing things.
I'm more understanding of the way i perceive things as well. It just put all my thoughts together and cleared everything up.
And made me feel more proud to be an Asian American than how i already felt. smile.gif

i haven't gone that far into college to have like a favorite favorite (it's only been 1 semester) but i liked my marriage and families class
that class was SOOOO easy...i pretty much never read, did my homework and presentation and got an A
i would study, but only for essay questions, and like somewhat bomb the multiple choice..C..D...it would average out...lol

and my teacher was really funny and relates to his students really well, and even though i was like 30min late for class everyday
wow that was the best class ever Lol, and i would be like the only person participating in class and stuff because it was like 7am lol~

that cultural revolution class seems really interesting
i wish my school had that..or maybe it does, maybe if its available in the summer i'll try it biggrin.gif
i've learned about the cultural revolution before but i wouldn't mind learning it again ^^~

So far, my favorite was a lower-division poli sci/international studies course called "Global Issues & Institutions". It really had nothing to do with the content, but had EVERYTHING to do with my professor. He is such an amazing and powerful speaker, as well as ridiculously thought-provoking. It really made me re-evaluate the way I live and perceive everything around me. and he was able to convey all these ideas without being preach-y or cheesy

1. microbiology- really interesting even though i fell asleep everyday and don't remember anything from it
2. organic 1 - feels good getting an A in a class where 50 percent drop and about 80-90 percent who didn't drop don't get an A...and i thought it was cool for some reason

Architectural drafting!

biggrin.gif that was the only class in the whole list of civil engineering requirements I did well on (changed majors so I didn't really take all that many).

But that class was a requirement and I had taken something similar in high school so I would go and sit online until the teacher was done explaining then I would go for a speed run and see how fast I could complete it. I know odd... but after that I have not had a single class I looked forward to going to.

microbio lecture was blaaaaah, but i loved the lab. now that i look back, ochem 1 was SUPER EASY and it would have been one of my fave classes if i took it more seriously then.-.- anywho, ochem 3 later became one of my faves because i was one of the few who aced that class, so i felt pretty cool myself too. laugh.gif gotta give my prof props for enabling me to learn the material by making the class interesting and easy to learn.

to answer the original question: psychology 101 has got to be my favorite college course with pre-calc and calc 1 close in behind. again, credits to the profs.

Mine was a class we had called "Magic, Witchcraft and Religion." biggrin.gif A definite favorite, talking about generalities of different religions around the world... and of course magic and witchcraft.

Interpersonal Communications was by far my favorite class. Never missed it once, very interesting, and the best teacher I've ever had.

International Social Conduct. It was basically a course telling you ettiqute from every area of the world. Like how to say hello, how to give gifts, if you should tip or not. Haha because of that course I know know proper Ethiopian manners lol, in addition to Turkish, French, etc.
honestly... you're not half as special as you think you are.
