^ you probably need to find a driver especially for your computer.
if you post up your computer model / drivers / if your on XP, 2000 ect. i could find it for you.
i would first of all try your computers website.

Yeah, you just lost your drivers.
There is no way we can tell you to get a specific driver without knowing anything about your computer. Share a little about it. Company that made it, model number... if its not built like that, where does it connect to on the computer? Off the backplate or like a PCI card?
Run: devmgmt.msc
See if you find any exclamation points... that might help direct us to what you need as well.

I seem to have the same problem as her. I know that my driver was called or titled something like sis audio device, or something.
My computer is a Sony Vaio, Model PCV-7752??
I think I might have accidentally deleteed my sound device :T eek*

uncheck the mute option in your media player/windows volume controls

i don't know if i have the same problem, but if i leave my computer on too long, i lose sound... so i have to restart it again...
