Finally!
The last time a French actress won an Academy awards, it was in 1960!!!

Thanks to the movie LA VIE EN ROSE, Marion Cotillard aka Edith Piaf won a BAFTA ( Britanic award), a CESAR ( French award), a Golden globe and an Academy award!!!

She has been chosen to play in PUBLIC ENEMIES with Johnny deep and directed by Mickael MANN !!! ( lucky girl)

I remember she came out in Big Fish as Billy Crudup's wife and I thought she was gorgeous! It's great how famous she's become biggrin.gif

Actually the last winner was in 1996 where Juliette Binoche won sleep.gif.

She's the first to win speaking in her own language. (although Sophia Loren was the first to win speaking in a foreign language)

I love her performance as Edith Piaf. Oh God it scared me how good she was!

No, Juliette Binoche didn't win " Best actress" but "Best Supporting Actress " award !

I love her. She was so cute accepting her Oscars!! I'm glad she won. smile.gif

I didn't like La Vie en Rose because it just portrayed Edith Piaf so strangely, but she did such a good job portraying Piaf!!!
