Have You Ever Only Realized How Your Body Looked Like when you saw a picture of yourself?

i never noticed how chubby i have become becuase it seemed like i looked the same everyday. my mom started to tell me how i was gaining weight, but i looked in the mirror and i thought no, i look the same.
i knew i gained a little bit of weight, but it was when i saw a body pic of me that i finally realized that i needed to regain control of my body.
so basically , mirrors are liars in my opinion.
has this happened to anyone? i think pinning that picture to my wall would be a good motivation to start losing weight.
edit.
does anyone here have really skinny calves but thick thighs? i do.. it looks so weird.
edit again.
i feel like i look different in mirrors in different places, like in my room, in my bathroom, the rearview mirror in my car, school mirrors...... its probably the lighting , but its so frustrating because i dont really know how i look like anymore.
sometimes my eyes look big, and sometimes they look so small...
i hate taking pictures w/ flash as well....... ugh -shiver-...

I thought my Mom was kidding when she said I'm getting fat.
Then I weigh myself and I'm like.. I gained weight :S
I mean, I look at my body on the mirror everyday, so I didn't notice the changes.
But when you look at a photo when you're thin and a photo when you're fatter, you can tell.

I don't see any difference in the mirror. My jeans still fit fine.
It's not muscle weight for sure, since I haven't worked out for a long time, I don't have the time.
My husband said i was not fat, but he also said I looked chubbier than I used to be
I looked at my body pictures from last year, when I had the time to workout 2-3x a week,
man... my body was skinnier, toner... it's much hotter back then ;__;
Yeah I agree with the person above
I look at my body on the mirror everyday, so I didn't notice the changes.

My body looks the same in pictures as it does in the mirror but it's my face in pics that is a tell-tale sign if I gained weight or not. sigh. I def. gained about 5lbs since last year =(

When I look in the mirror, I don't see much flaws.
Whenever I take pictures, I noticed all these flaws

And now when I look at old pictures, it kinda scares me LOL.
I didn't know I was that fat.

mirrors do lie. in the mirror, my friend's eyes look unsymmetrical...as in one eye is higher than the other. in person, face to face, her face looks perfectly fine. she's really pretty too. but her reflection looks weird.
now i understand why she's so down to earth about her looks...she's always seeing her reflection which is WRONG, doesn't even look like her

While mirrors reflect your image for what you see everyday, cameras add like 10 pounds right?

But then if you take a picture of yourself today, then compare it .. lets say, a couple month from now,
There'll be a difference o_o Especially if you exercise or gain the weight.
For me, I usually make myself exercise, since I don't want to end up being a fatty.
But these days, I've gained a couple of pounds T__T due to stress and laziness.
I want to be fit for the summer.. again ^__^;
*still pm me please, although it might take awhile to reply!

Yep.
I looked in the mirror every single day & I'm like, "I look the same." Until I saw the pictures and I was like O___O
While mirrors reflect your image for what you see everyday, cameras add like 10 pounds right?
That's what I console myself with.
For one of my classes, we had to video tape and I looked so huge! But then I was like, "its okay, the camera adds pounds.
But now I have no excuse anymore. I stopped dieting and exercising because I was so stressed out with work & school, so I kinda just stopped due to my busy schedule. But now I really need to get back up on the wagon.
