Nip/Tuck

This drama is set in a south Florida plastic surgery center, McNamara-Troy, centering around the two doctors who own it. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) is having problems at home, trying to keep his family together, trying to patch up the rocky road him and his wife Julia (Joely Richardson) are experiencing. On the other hand, sex-craved Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) uses his charm to bring in potential female candidates and conducts shady business deals, often for the love of money. While Sean takes his job seriously, he often has to fix Christian's mistakes.

I thought it was about time someone posted this TV show. I am seriously in love with it, the actors are amazing. Although this TV show is not for little kids, and has a lot of...inappropriate scenes in it tongue.gif. I think the situations they land themselves in are so cool.

I'm not sure if the 5th season just ended or not, because of the whole writers strike debacle, but the ending of the most recent episode was like ohmy.gif

Well actually, this season has geared completely away form the two doctors sexual interest toward eachother. It's not homosexual anymore haha

but anyways, I freaking LOVE THIS SHOW! OMG, this season is SO CRAZY! SO many things are going down. People getting stabbed, shot, having sex with no legged women, OMG! They really go out of the box and I love it!
I remember a long time ago, my friend used to always talk about it and i"m like, "Whatever!," but then I started watching it and am addicted...

I too am surprised that there wasn't a topic for this show...
Thanks for making one

Yea, I love this show but this season has gotten a bit more far-fetched then the other seasons. I mean, that crazy teddybear PR person is so PSYCHO! And the whole Julia going lesbian thing was amusing. LOL, but I'm so sad that it ended (?) because of the writers strike.

I think my favourite season was the one with the mask guy going around cutting people's cheeks. That was messed, and how it all come together in the last episode biggrin.gif

I'm pretty disappointed with these past 2 seasons =T

The season before this, when they were still in Miami, was "okay." Nothing special. But at the end of that season, I remember thinking what a great idea it'd be to move everything to LA, and that the change of scenery would restore the show's addictive melodrama. But, I just...really didn't like this season ><

Maybe the season w/ the Carver made everything else that followed pale in comparison ><

I got into this show during the 3rd season and then I pretty much missed out on 90% of season 4. I just downloaded season 5 and watched the whole thing in 3 days. sleep.gif (being sick for the last couple days has really helped in this venture lol)

Colleen, that teddybear lady, is so crazyyyy...and so is Eden. These people will do anything...everybody is so twisted on this show (although I guess that's what makes it interesting). I feel bad for Julia but I wish she would just give up on her charade of pretending to be lesbian because i agree with Liz who thinks she's not. lol

Sean can't die..
If anyone should die, it should be Julia.
She's annoyingly stupid.
And I wish that we had never talked,
Our hips said it all..

When Nip Tuck Seasons 1-5 came out there wasn't anything like it on tv. I was the most graphic by far on network television. Now many shows are following in its footsteps. I love the acting they play the perfect roles. I love the storylines they are complex and make my keep watching. It like many shows goes up and down in hoe interesting it is, but it never loses me as a view. I get together will all my girlfriends and a bottle of wine every week to watch this show, and they love it as much as I do. It is one of the only shows that both my guy friends and my girl friends can watch together.

i like christian better than sean but i love both characters. julian mcmahon is gorgeous!
the soundtrack is perfect. i love how every time before a surgery mostly liz, or whoever is the anesthesiologist at the time, puts on some song fitting to the atmosphere..

Dude, I'd be so pissed if Troy leaves Liz because he realizes that he was diagnosed incorrectly and is NOT in late stage of breast cancer.

Troy has issues... he really does.

I don't like Mcnamara either. He's messed up in the head too.

Everyone is messed up. But I really like the son ... Matt.
He's twisted in a weird way too -- but I think, at times, he realizes what's right and wrong.
He's so much more sane comparing to the surgeons.

---

The series was so good the past few season.
Especially with the Carver =) but...
It went DOWN hill last season.
Maybe they'll pull a "Heroes Season 3" turn around (e.g.: heroes season 2 SUCKED but season 3 is pretty good)

^
THE CARVER ... He still scares the heck out of me...

^ I agree! If Christian leaves Liz because he was misdiagnosed I would be so disappointed in him. But they're married now, right? So maybe he'll rethink leaving. unsure.gif

The season finale didn't really feel like a finale for me...there were so few episodes in this season (although I know it's the 2nd half of season 5). And now we have to wait until January for the new season to begin? ahhhh.
