Today is the deadline for priority financial aid and I can't file my fafsa form because my parents are worried that I'll write something wrong and get them into trouble with the IRS. What would happen if I do miss the deadline? Would I not receive any financial aid at all?

because you still have like 7 hours
there is an option that where you fill out information, when your parents haven't filed their taxes yet
what exactly is your parents worried about?
i'm not 100% sure
but if the school notices something strange in your fafsa
usually they'll ask you to copy your tax forms (1040, 1040ez [i think those are the forms) and mail it to them to verify them

i'm actually from ny, my parents are nervous about me filling out the fafsa form cause they believe i'll do something wrong. they have filed their taxes though. so i'm deciding to go to my couselor on monday and ask her about it but by then the deadline date would have passed. so would i not be able to receive any financial aid?

but i'm not too sure
i think the worst that can happen is that you won't get aid for one semester

You haven't missed the deadline yet.
March 1st is for early (priority) registration. You can still apply for it up through the summer, I believe.

The deadline for the UC i would like to get into is Mach 1.
I submitted the fafsa last night and when i checked the status this morning on the web, it stated that my fafsa was processed today ...so do u think that i made the deadline for March1? does the fafsa take a couple days to send it to the school or does it automatically send it once you press submit.

the prority for most SUNYS are March 1st but you still have time.
deadline for fafsa is when they run out of funds and stuff.
if you are applying for SUNYs or CUNYs, its still okay because they usually get back to you quick.
