I used to be able to eat spinach salad every day just fine but like a week ago, my stomach started hurting after eating spinach. One day I tested myself and didnt eat spinach for one day, I felt fine and, the next day I had spinach for dinner and the stomach ache came back. Could it be me? Or is it the spinach itself? Because other people eat the same spinach at the Dining commons [my university's food court] and I haven't heard any complaints from them.

^spinach doesnt have any diseases
. those spinach were just contaminated by something else. and e.coli is a bacteria not a disease lol.
well spinach can cause gas so it might be the bloating from gas that hurts. happens to me sometimes with other foods.

Maybe it was a one-off thing. I don't know about the food safety policies at your Uni food court.
Was there a sauce or anything that you ate with the spinach, or another food that was served with the spinach?
Easiest way, is if I were you, I wouldn't order the spinach from that food court anymore.

It could be a one off thing or it could be a sudden change in your body.
I used to eat a lot of shellfish and I was fine with it, and then one day I had shrimp and broke out in hives. I thought it was a one off thing until I had the same reaction with crab and lobster and from various places. My body chemistry just changed and so I ended up not being able to eat them and actually having an allergy.
Now, you may not have an allergy to Spinach but what could be going on is that your system just can't handle digesting Spinach. That's all and don't fight just don't eat it. I can't eat fast food any more mainly because I find something within the meat at places like Burger King/MacDonalds gives me severe stomach pains and diarrhea.
