If any moderator can make this thread a sticky, please do! So, my intention for this thread is about job networking during college! Some tips that I would recommend is:
1. Go to Job Fairs
2. Try to get an internship related to your major/field
3. Get to know people that are working in the field that you are interested in
These are some tips, but there are some questions that I would to ask you guys such as:
1. Who do I talk to when it comes to getting a career in the government? I'm thinking about state government since I don't feel like traveling if it is going to be a federal government career?
2. Is a bachelor's degree a good investment, since a lot of people who are college graduates still need to compete for jobs that don't require a college degree? A real-life example is that my dad never got a job related to his major (Computer Science) and he did go to a 2 years school after he got his bachelor's degree in order to get his current job?!
3. Should I take a year from college in order to fully think about what I want to do for a future career?
P.S. Anyone can post their questions regarding job networking here and I do want everybody here to succeed!
