New Laptop But I Have This Weird Green Line On The Screen help!!

Ah..help.. I have a HP Pavilion laptop and it's pretty new about 4-5 months old and I don't do any heavy programming on it: just basic typing, emails, research, music, etc But I have this weird neon green line running down the screen. Can anyone please help me?

hahhaa yeah I was staring INTENTLY from one side to the other trying to find the "green line" but didn't see it
if something is wrong with your screen, you obviously can't get a screenshot to capture it. May I suggest you take a picture of your screen?

It's probably your monitor try unplug it and plug it in again.

Its a laptop you can't unplug it.
Call hp brace yourself because I had really miserable luck with it. They are fast though take pics before you send it out You will need a new screen. The line is damage to the LCD connection. There are 1280 wires across the top, 800 down the side. 1 of the 1280 broke. Possibly because of how you open the laptop lid.

it's a laptop
and HP customer service STINKS.\
ive called before, had NO help because 1)they couldn't speak english 2) it took them 30 minutes to look my name up/ look up information 3) basically read the manual to me, which was of NO help so i ended up researching the web for about an hour or two and tried diff. solutions on my own.
are u serious i need a new screen? im in colllege and i cant afford to not have a laptop for even a day O_O all my papers and notes are in there........ oh no...

Call them now... I didn't get sent to India.. but when they tell you to send in your laptop tell them you are a student and you need your laptop. Ask them to send you a replacement because you need to have a computer. The people on the forum tol me that sometimes works so it worth a shot.
