Okay, so I need to write a statement of purpose of my applications, but I've never written one before.
I kind of understand that we need to put our majors and what we plan to study, etc. BUT HOW?!?!?!
I am so lost.... can anyone help?? It would be great if I could see a sample...
I've seen samples online, but they were in response to questions...
Thanks!!

uh.... mines... was basically just one page.
cause that's what they asked for.
but, i just wrote about why i wanna go.
what it can benefit me, my future, AND my community after i return.
how much i would appreciate this oppportunity.
and i related it to my major and the future job that i want.
if you dont feel safe, have a friend, teacher, the study abroad advisor read it over.
oh! personal and academic reasons. yap.
me: personal--> self interest in the language and culture, and have family root there,
want to make friends internationally because world is globalizing daily,
share my culture with them and vice versa,
want to build networks abroad because future is about networking and connections abroad.
academic: networking abroad, challenges that i'll face which will prepare me for the real world,
and can prove that i am capable of a job,
will prepare me for my major and graduate school.
i wrote a lot too, but pretty much based it like that.
i got into my program. but that varies.
depends on how competitive it is, etc.
GOOD LUCK.
you can do it. it's just like an essay about yourself and your feelings.
you can do it!!!!
take care.

Here are the statement of purpose guidelines my program gave me. I literally just answered each question it asked; don't overanalyze too much. It's meant to be very straightforward for you and for the advisors/admissions people who decide:
