Hi,
I checked out the "post your desktop" thread and saw all the really cool desktops w/ the neat gadgets. I was wondering if anyone can give me a tutorial on how to download those themes and whatnot for Windows Vista. I saw a tutorial for XP posted, but there's none for Vista.

That depends on how you want your desktop to look.
Minimal? Functional? Cluttered?
Do you want to install third-party apps or go for something easier (but leave you with far less choices when it comes to styles).
There's Windowsblinds (WB) which should be purchased legally, only because a non-legal version for Vista will cause you many problems and could force you to do a system restore. WB lets you customize the overall GUI, so your status bar, program windows, browser folders will look different compared to the default Vista themes.
While .msstyles/.themes will do the minor stuff (compared to a full/drastic overhaul that you get with WB). So you'll get a different status bar, windows and such. Like I said, far easier to apply but not much choice for style and customization.
Docks? Objectdock / rklauncher are two solid choices.

There is this site http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showforum=162 its a good place to start but I don't know of the specific method to patch and allow it.
I remember when I did it a while ago there was something similar to the UXtheme patcher for xp where you have to patch the theme file to allow other types of themes. Click around that site... I think its like the resource for it.
