I'm either 5'0 or 4'11. I like to believe 5'0.
When I got my height checked in gr.8 the teacher said I was 5'0.
I feel short when I'm wearing flat shoes, so I'm usually in heels. Whenever I wear running shoes though, I always feel self conscious like everyone is staring at how short I am.

well im 5"6 which feels to tall sometimes, guys in the UK are often taller about 6"0 usually but women seem to be about 5"4 asians around the UK
seem to be so short specially the handsome ones *shuts up* so i hate being so tall sometimes.

I qouldnt want a guy 6"0 my friends have been that tall in the past the male ones and i hate it, and i also dont want someone shorter
so i find a male who is about my height or up to 5"8/9 would be nice enough!

still shortness is cuter for girls so i can be annoying! >__<

I do think I'd be taken more seriously if I was 2 or 3 inches taller...
especially when I'm presenting in front of a class that's generally older than me.
I feel like a little girl in front of them.

I'm 5'7" or 170 cm. I hate being tall...amongst all my girlfriends im the second tallest the tallest is my dominican friend Jennifer (she was in ANTM cycle 10 first episode)..but out of the asians im the tallest. but nowthat i live in korea i dot feel that tall anymore since korean girls are much taller than viet girls (most of mygirlfriends baq home are viet)...n korean are taller in general than other asians i noticed..so i feel more normal here...yet everyone still says they are jelous of my height...i hate it cuz every guy i had dated in the past was shorter than me (those guys were all viet to mention....wierd...) but now my fiance is 176 cm much taller than me n im a happy girl! hehe

yeah i agree with the whole i-hate-being-tall thing....im 5'6[167-168cm] + i hate the fact that most guys do not have much height over me [in asians anyway]...which sucks, cuz i hate feeling tall...most of my girl friends are shorter, and tall guys are much more attractive to me..rofl...sorry to the others...

I'm 5'6 and I can't stand being short, most of my asian friends are like 5'9-5'11 and my older brother is 6'3 yet i'm 5'6. Pisses me off.

My dad is around 5'10, my mother is 5'5. & my brother is 6'. Oddly, I am 5'2. I don't know what happened to me, but whatever, I'm content. I think the fact that my relatives bug me & say crap like "why are you so short?" or "you should take some Chinese herbal medicine to grow" makes me happier with my height because my outcome disappoints them. Their annoying comments make me an evil person.

I'm asian and I'm 5'8 (172cm) . I used to really hate being tall when I was young because I felt that I stood out above everyone, but as I grew up I cherished how tall I am but the only downfall is that most asian guys are shorter than me. Needless to say when I put on heels...

As a guy I think height is very important. You just demand more respect and whatnot. I know a Chinese guy who is 6'5 and the way he carries himself seems to be more masculine and better than me who is at 5'8 (on a good day). I always tell people to not judge people based on physical appearance, but when it comes to height I feel like a hypocrite especially when I am standing next to a guy who is 6'2 and up. I used to think that everyone cared about height, but as I got older I find that it was just my own insecurity that made me feel this way and with any self-esteem problem it takes more growing (mentally) and life experience to shrug off.

it would be nice to be taller, at least 5'5", but i'm happy the way i am. finding clothes to fit esp pants are hard, but that's why i love alteration shops. other than that, i manage pretty well with my height. most girls i know are the same height as me or an inch taller only. being 5'1" doesn't stop me from achieving things in life so makes no difference to me i guess. i may not be able to play bball as well as someone who's taller, but i do pretty well i have to say when it comes to shooting. LOL!

anyway, i've met guys who are shorter than me and yes it felt weird, but i don't walk away from them. i enjoy everyone the same.

I am a girl and 5'9''. Oddly enough I still feel really short, but that could be because I have a lot of guy friends who are practically giants. I admit it; I do wish I was just a few inches taller. It's sad, but I do think people place an unnecessary importance on height.
