I'm 4'9 - 4'10, but still taller than my mother. My dad 5'4 -5'5. So, it runs in our family. I accepted it, but lots of people sometime make fun of it. I don't care, 'coz they don't matter to me. I don't compensate it with loud voice, 'coz I'm naturally soft-spoken, although I could be loud it its necessary. I think I compensate it with brain power, though I'm not a genius, but most people often finds me clever and witty (seriously...=P).
I do look cute and younger than my age, and proud of it!! v

Haha, pretty much. Right in front of a bunch of people on a bus. I really thought I could jump from the sidewalk onto the stairway of a bus because I was running and late for class. I made it.. but I ate mini cooper on the stairway.

that's pretty good, I did one down a mountain this year. end result 2 weeks in hospital, at least 20 stitches and 2 months on crutches. Sometimes being tall is a disadvantage

That's average for an asian male ya? But I'm ~130lb so I just look small :\
But at least I fit comfortably in compact cars and airplane seats (more comfortably)

For most of my life, I've heard "you're so tall!!!" so it IS something that I'm very aware of even though it's not necessarily a big deal. Um... I consider myself 5'5" or 5'6". Depends on the day...

My husband is taller than me (as all guys I ever dated were) but that wasn't necessarily a requirement. Mostly... if you're about eye to eye with me, I'm okay with that. In fact, if I put on some big heels (and I like big heels!), I'm about eye to eye with my husband. He likes to say he's 5'9" but I put him closer to 5'8". He likes to hate on me and call me shorty and say I'm only 5'2". I'm like, baby if I'm 5'2" then you're 5'4"!

When I was younger, I was kind of self-conscious about it but then I learned that with most things, the grass is always greener on the other side. So I got over it!

I work with a lady who is at least 6'2 a good couple inches taller than me, THAT'S an amazon

I'm 5' 3/4". I used to try to say I was 5'1 but everybody would argue me down till I was like "fine. I'm 5' even though I'm closer to 5'1. Whatev." lol

I'm fine with my height. I do still get mistaken for a teenager sometimes by those who don't know me which can be annoying since I'm 26 and have an almost 2 year old who is already too big for me and will definitely be taller than me as she was 5" taller than I was at birth. I like looking young but not being treated that way. My family and close friends are around my height so I don't notice my height unless I'm around a big group of tall people.

I'm 5'10". I used to hate it because I towered over everyone in school.. it was especially awkward since most of the boys in my classes were shorter than me. I grew to appreciate it eventually and now I love being tall My brother and my dad are tall too (6'2" and 6'4"), my mom's pretty average (5'6").

I'm also glad I don't have to wear heels. I know some tall girls like the feeling it gives them but not me, give me flats any day.

I'm a little over 5 ft, haven't checked my height in about three years, maybe I've grown some? I used to be terribly self-conscious about my height in high school. I constantly was made fun of for being short, even if it was just my friends giving me the nickname of 'stumpy' out of affection and I just always wished I were taller. I eventually got over it after entering university and I am perfectly happy with my height now. It only gets a bit annoying when Small, and sometimes XS, is too big, when I almost always have to hem my pants, or when I have to shop for shoes online because I can never find 5.5 in stores. I also have a baby face, so I still get mistaken for being 15 or a freshman in the university setting, but at least I know I'll appreciate it when I'm 40 and still look like I'm in my 30s.

I'm your average Asian girl at 5'4. But my mom is 5'6 and most of my other female cousins range from 5'6 to 5'8. I guess I missed out on all the nutrition growing up ....
