My newer mdg computer died on me , but I need the file on that haddrive urgently .
I have an older HP computer .. am I able to take the new hd and hook it up to the HP computer?
is there specific requirements? and how would I get around doing this

assuming your "newer mdg computer" didnt die because of harddrive failure, you MIGHT be able to hook it up to your older HP pc. the new HDD may be SATA and not IDE, which means it wont work on the older pc, which if old enough, may be IDE only.

if both happen to be SATA, then just hook them both up, and set the HDD from your mdg computer to be "slave"
