Well, personally I do write poetry. Just a little.
hehe... However, I don't know any professional poetries to recommend to you... Well, I've read quite a number, but I don't really memorise them.
To me, each poetry means differently to different individuals. There are no right / wrong answers to what a poem is portraying. but of course the real answer lies in the poet himself. It just depends on the degree of your understanding for tt particular poet. If you happen to know them better, you get closer to the real truth.
But you'll never really be spot on. tt's what I love most about poetry. it's so mysterious--you can only guess..

Everyone's a little weird--Life's a little weird.
And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours,
We fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.

That reminds me. There's this very funny haiku

Haikus are easy
but sometimes they don't make sense

I think poetry is so diverse. There's so many different kinds and many different ways to write it. However, how people perceive it is what matters most. Apparently, you could put a lot of time into writing a poem, and some people might not notice one special thing about the poem. Although, I would say my favorite poem is "The Road Not Taken"; although I take it for what it is, the message that you will come to dilemmas in life, and I don't see what's so special about all the other things my teachers say is special about it. Sometimes, people overanalyze
especially for poems. That's what I think.
