Ever Used A Supermarket Hairdye That Said "not Recommended For Black Hair"?

Because I want my hair to go light brown and I'm thinking I need a dark blonde or blonde hair dye.
I can't afford a professional dye. Grr, need a job.
My hairs already dyed too if that helps.

I totally did that.
I couldn't find the dye that's MADE for black hair, so I grabbed the blonde
There's nothing bad about it, because I've used both.
Using the ones that aren't meant for dyed hair just makes you wait longer. Like for a person with brown hair, it'll say wait for 30minutes or something, you'll have to wait for 1h 30m.
I did that.
But if you use the ones meant for dark hair, it's faster, because there's bleach in it (?) & I waited like only 20 minutes.

She used one of those hairdyes designed for blondes (it was Garnier Fructis, dunno exactly which box) and
it came out a nice light natural brown, it almost looked like she had blonde highlights in bright lighting.

I think the packs you find at supermarkets are around $15
but professional dye including the peroxide should add up to less than $12
usually works alot better than the supermarket hairdye too, since you can decide on the strength of the dye, etc ^^

It depends where you go to. the guy that cuts my mom and my hair, i think it's like 60$(maybe more. lol this is why my mom only gets her hair done professionaly once a year and gets the roots done at home) to dye your whole head. he does a REALLY good job though. but i have NEVER heard of professionaly costing less than l'oreal and all those brands.
I want my hair to be light brown, like honey brown(caramel), but i don't know how it'll look on it, so if i try those l'Oreal Color pulse, in blond, would it still work??? i really want to try it, but don't want to waste like 10$ on it if it won't work.
