pro: people will stop judging people by their clothes cause you know there are a lot of discrimination
cons: some of the uniforms are not cute and aren't very fashionable, that pretty much explains itself

Pros: you don't have to worry about what to wear, it's all the same everyday haha

Cons: you don't have your own style...it's all boring. Also you have to pay for it -__-

hope that helps =] I did an essay on this before

Pros: well dressed looking outfit, schools are distinguishable if they misbehave in public, eliminates need to conjur an outfit for school, considered upper echelon in society if from an uniform school (even more so if from a private school).

Cons: more costly, students against uniforms/conformity, can easily be distinguishable during misadventure, no flexibility, money making scam by school for mufti/casual days, silly uniform regulations are very particular.

Sorry, thats all my drained brain can think of for the moment.

Pros:
x don't have to spend a year picking out clothes for the next day
x you get to have a pretty bow/ribbon/tie =3
x people can't make fun of your fashion statements because you're wearing the same thing as everyone else.

Cons:
x Can't wear w/e you want
x You might get a possibility of being stuck with an ugly school logo
x The whole uniform might look ugly

I don't know though. It's been awhile since I wore uniforms to school.

PROs ;
-> At one glance people know which school you're from
-> Makes one think before misbehaving , conduct
-> Strengthens one's loyalty and patriotism to the school , it kinda makes the students in the school feel like a family sweatingbullets.gif
-> No worries about your outfit the next day cos it'll still be your uniform that you're wearing

CONs ;
-> Uniforms can bring you alot of troubles at times ( hair must be tied up if it reaches the collar of your blouse , name tag must be on at all times , etc. )
-> If the uniform's really ugly , then that'll definitely go under cons . Teens talk about fashion these days , an ugly uniform won't do . sweatingbullets.gif

Done ! I came from a school that requires us to put on uniform , and that's all I can think of . laugh.gif Hope that helps !

pros: just knowing that you don't have to choose what to wear makes mornings so much easier. also there will be less bullying and all. and won't have to keep buying new clothes. also distinguishing between people & other schools

cons: if they're crap uniforms, people won't even want to wear it and try to look "cooler" with the uniforms, then the school will enforce tougher school uniform rules which btw, REALLT SUCK. T_T

hahaha i had to write a plan for my essay on the exact same subject.

Pro:
-takes less time to get ready in the morning
- less bullying
-safer for the student. what i mean by the last one is that, when you go to a school that doesn't have uniform, anyone(that looks at least in their teen and can pass as a high school student) can go into your school. you never know if those people are actually planning to do something. now if you have uniforms, when that person walk in, people will know immediatly if they're a student or not. so it's safer for students and staff.

Con:
-students will not be able to express themself through clothing.
-the uniform doesn't fit properly -.-. my school uniform, the polo, doesn't fit my right compared to my other clothes. welll, it's also because i took a Small instead of an Extra Small, but still, it just doesn't fit properly and its so long, same goes for the sweater. ugly color too, i would love to have a dark blue polo, i have a light blue polo and a dark blue t-shirt.

EDIT// i just read some of the post about cons, about how some people can't afford it. just a little info first, my school only make us wear a top as a uniform, we don't need the pant/skirt. well i know my polo cost me roughly 30$(short sleeve), the long sleeve was 25$, my sweater was like 30. my school gave us a free T-shirt too(or if you want to buy more, it'll be 15$). in total, it cost me 110$ for my uniform. but remember, that's only for the top, not pants or skirt needed. that's a lot in one shot but how much do you spend yearly on clothing? i know on average, whenever i go shopping, i would spend at least 20$. so with time, the uniform is better cause it saves you money afterwards. now when i go shopping, i think to myself "when will i wear this??" and the answer is "maybe one a month or one every two month" and then i don't buy it, unless i REALLLY like it.

Cons: some people can't afford them.

Pros: it looks better on school outings and it gives the school a good image and reputation.

pros - no worries about what to wear every day. others won't judge a person based on what they wear.
cons - expensive. some are ugly. but the girls one with skirs and a shirt and a bow of some sort are SUPERRRR cute!! but i think only private school has those. public school has ooooggly ones.

What I think

Pro: No need to spend so much time in the morning to decide what to wear, everybody wears the same style of clothes.

Con: Some may use the uniform in a wrong way, some will get judged by their figure. The uniform may look ugly and some girls cant wear the uniform because of religious (sp?) reasons.

pros- save some money on everyday clothes and time picking the clothes
it's easier to identify which school you are from

cons- less uniquness in the school population. after buying a shirt or something i want to wear, theres not as much chances for letting people see.

Pros: You won't be judged on what you wear, and it shows you're representing your school (yeah my school has this whole thing about rep, it's crazy)

Cons: You can't express yourself, and there are a lotttttt of rules regarding uniform. (in my school anyways. i.e. shirt always tucked in, buttons all done up, no ankles socks ect etc.)
