hahaha i had to write a plan for my essay on the exact same subject.
Pro:
-takes less time to get ready in the morning
- less bullying
-safer for the student. what i mean by the last one is that, when you go to a school that doesn't have uniform, anyone(that looks at least in their teen and can pass as a high school student) can go into your school. you never know if those people are actually planning to do something. now if you have uniforms, when that person walk in, people will know immediatly if they're a student or not. so it's safer for students and staff.
Con:
-students will not be able to express themself through clothing.
-the uniform doesn't fit properly -.-. my school uniform, the polo, doesn't fit my right compared to my other clothes. welll, it's also because i took a Small instead of an Extra Small, but still, it just doesn't fit properly and its so long, same goes for the sweater. ugly color too, i would love to have a dark blue polo, i have a light blue polo and a dark blue t-shirt.
EDIT// i just read some of the post about cons, about how some people can't afford it. just a little info first, my school only make us wear a top as a uniform, we don't need the pant/skirt. well i know my polo cost me roughly 30$(short sleeve), the long sleeve was 25$, my sweater was like 30. my school gave us a free T-shirt too(or if you want to buy more, it'll be 15$). in total, it cost me 110$ for my uniform. but remember, that's only for the top, not pants or skirt needed. that's a lot in one shot but how much do you spend yearly on clothing? i know on average, whenever i go shopping, i would spend at least 20$. so with time, the uniform is better cause it saves you money afterwards. now when i go shopping, i think to myself "when will i wear this??" and the answer is "maybe one a month or one every two month" and then i don't buy it, unless i REALLLY like it.
