This is the car i'm looking at getting come May 1st: BMW 128i Coupe (yeah i dunno if i'll go with the red leather or not)

For comparable price or other options there's also the Lexus IS250, and the Infiniti G37 Coupe. Thoughts?

I'd go with the Lexus IS250. (in white) That was the first car I ever wanted. w00t.gif
Granted, I've never driven a car, but your insurance rates would be better with a 4-door.

If you go with the BMW though, I'd go with the gray interior. The red one looks... vicx.gif

For $36k, buy something a shade larger. The IS250 is a good option. The 1 series cabin just may be just as small if not a little bigger than my Integra. Not worth the $36k IMO.

Red leather = teh hawtness.

<-- has imola red leather, lol. ph34r.gif

Really though, gray leather is difficult to keep clean. A friend of mine had it in his e46 and he had to clean it every week.
Red or black don't suffer from the same issue though.

I don't have a problem with red leather, it's just the one in the picture looks washed out. I think they all get equally dirty though, but it may show on gray more 'cause it's closer to white.
=o
If not gray than black, but the gray would look better in the side paneling.

Pay a little more and get the 3 series.

Buying the 1 series would be a waste of money, so many cars you can get with that kind of money.

interior space on the 1 series is worse than an integra >.< especially fitting passengers in back

I like the ISs. The 1-series looks like a wannabe luxury econobox. Very awkward looking to me.

hmm I like the new 1 series, except they don't come in hatchback form yet in the US. IMO, I'd get the 135i and get the Dinan chip.

I'd save up and get the 3 series too if I were in your situation '___'

But if it had to be between the choices you listed, I'd say IS250 biggrin.gif

bmw 1 series seems really small. esp in the back row.
plus for the 36K, i dont think the 1 series is worth it.

id get the infiniti or the lexus
