i searched for a sunscreen thread but I couldn't find any..
Im not even sure if this should go here or the beauty one...

since its summer, i feel like i should really put on sunscreen to avoid getting tanned
but i heard you always have to wear sunscreen even though its winter

I never put sunscreen on my face because it gets so oily........
i know i should but its just so oily!
but thats because the sunscreen I put on is for the body and not for the face...

currently, my skin is horrible lol
like full of acne.......

can some one recommend me a good sunscreen?
i prefer something i can get from macys :X (i have a giftcard lol), but it doesnt really matter!

* doesnt trigger acne
* oil-free
* doesnt clog pores

_ just a random question, but whats the differnce between sunscreen and sunblock?

I use Shiseido Sunscreen smile.gif
I find that its very light on the skin and not greasy like how sunscreen is.

i heard that one of them is targeted just for the UV rays and one actually prevents you from getting tanned.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHICH ONE PREVENTS YOU FROM GETTING TANNED? tears.gif
It’s not easy for me to say this, so listen to me carefully. You just might hear it. I love you.

i think sunBLOCK prevents you from getting tanned... not entirely sure tho...

i've tried oil free ones and my face still looks mad oily. i've tried some neutrogena ones like the gel sunscreen, it smelt of alcohol and it didnt "tingle", more like burned.

Just google your darn questions. I found answers within minutes. Lazy blokes. =P

The consumer needs to consider their needs and the state of their skin. More sensitive skin may need sun block or a sun screen with a high SPF. Individuals who do desire to tan their skin but have some protection may wish to consider a sun screen with a lower SPF. Sun screen and sun block are different enough, that when the consumer goes to purchase they should carefully assess their needs.

neutrogena ultra sheer, like a couple people said
i have rosacea and it makes my face red when i'm applying it, and makes my skin sting a little during winter because i have really sensitive skin.
but other than that it works realllly well (:
it dries up so quickly and your skin feels sooooo soft. whenever i put it on i don't get oily!

and this moisturizes your skin.

Try DHC i love that stuff
its a bit expensive but it helps heal acne and makes you skin feel super soft.
words can't express my disappointment....

Oh yeah to answer your question,
sunscreen protects you from those UV rays, but not completely. the higher the SPF, the more it blocks the UV rays. sunblock is..well it totally blocks UV rays completely. ^^;
