are you having general anxiety, or panic attacks?
well dont worry this is treatable w/therapy and or medication (if you can treat it without resorting to medication, even better). go see a doctor and tell them about your symptoms, your worries, and troubles etc.

They're also some breathing technique which might help cool down your anxiety.

Anxiety may be caused by a mental condition, a physical condition, the effects of drugs, or from a combination of these. The doctor's initial task is to see if your anxiety is caused by a medical condition.
* Common causes of anxiety include these mental conditions:
*
o Panic disorder: In addition to anxiety, common symptoms of panic disorders are palpitations (feeling your heart beat), dizziness, and shortness of breath. These same symptoms also can be caused by coffee (caffeine), amphetamines ("speed" is the street slang for amphetamines when they are not prescribed by a doctor), an overactive thyroid, abnormal heart rhythms, and other heart abnormalities (such as mitral valve prolapse)
o .Generalized anxiety disorder
o Phobic disorders
o Stress disorders
* These common external factors can cause anxiety:
*
o Stress at work
o Stress from school
o Stress in a personal relationship such as marriage
o Financial stress
o Stress from an emotional trauma such as the death of a loved one
o Stress from a serious medical illness
o Side effect of medication
o Use of an illicit drug, such as cocaine
o Symptom of a medical illness (such as heart attack, heat stroke, hypoglycemia)
o Lack of oxygen - In circumstances as diverse as high altitude sickness, emphysema, or pulmonary embolism (a blood clot with the vessels of the lung)
Prevention of anxiety essentially involves an awareness of life's stresses and your own ability to cope with them. This can often be a difficult task in our busy and hectic 21st century.
* In essence, you might develop coping mechanisms for all of life's stresses. Strategies might include these:
o Exercise
o Meditation
o Relaxation exercises including deep breathing
o Visualization
o Interpersonal skills in dealing with difficult people and situations or parenting skills training in dealing with your children
* Prevention also includes diet, regular exercise, rest, and the basics in terms of preventive health care maintenance. Diet is a large factor. Caffeine, stimulants, lack of rest, and lack of exercise all are factors that influence anxiety.
got that online. But you should probably see a doctor.

are you taking medication to treat your anxiety? (you dont have to answer if you dont want to)
if its truly an anxiety disorder, diet doesnt have much to do with it.
its mostly with how you think. maybe i said doctor and that was scary, i really meant a licensed therapist.
they're just going to talk to you and help you destress. talk about your anxieties and what you can do to lessen it.
its really not scary at all.
you can also talk to school counselors too

My suggestions are to really occupy your mind when you feel anxiety or are in a situation where there might be anxiety. Watching movies, learning a dance routine, etc. The anxiety might still be there (mine was so bad I literally felt like I was going to throw up.) but it should help a little. =)
I had therapy for it also, that's how bad it was. All she did was teach me to control my breathing and told me to practice yoga.
