^ i thought UCSD was UCSociallyDead. o____o my sister graduated from UCSD & my brother currently attends UCSD.. and both have kind of just stayed friends with their old high school friends.
also, my sister is on the route to becoming a pharmacist & took the UCSD route with a major in pharmacological chemistry or w/e and got rejected everywherrrrrrreeeee. lol. she received her BS from UCSD in just 3 years too. by the time she graduates, it'll have taken her 8 years instead of the 5 years she rejected at UOP.
on the other hand, there are other soompiers that posted on this thread who took the UOP route and have become completely uninterested in pharmacy. they ended up dying to get out of UOP A.S.A.P.
-------------------------------
and you're not alone.
how_tacky &
v3rmillion are also deciding between UOP & UCSD.
I, too, was stuck between deciding to go to UOP & a UC. . . except being the reject that i am, it was UCI since i got rejected from UCSD

asdfjsdlak. ahemmmmm.

lol.
anyway, it was a matter of where
should i go versus where do i
want to go. and uh, well.. i decided to go to UOP.
i estimated the total amount of tuition & loans that i would have to pay for undergraduate & graduate schooling with a 3+3 UOP route and a 4+4 UC & UCSF route. (i just used UCSF b/c it was easy to find their tuition thing online). ignoring all the technical taxes/deductions/whatnot, i'll have an extra 1.47 years worth of salary in my pocket if i take the UOP route.
anyway, i'll tell you right now. UCSD's campus is just.. alright.
i really liked UCI's campus/area though.. sdfjlka D: but hey, SD has yogurt world. i have to admit, I do love frozen yogurt.

well anyway, g'luck on your college-choosing! you'll feel much more relieved once you're finally set on where you want to go
