I tried them on today for the first time..and my vision appears..hazy? blurry? not by a lot..i can still see...but its not like crystal clear vision...a little tad bit blurry but I can still do everything and read everything fairly well. It's just this distracting annoying haziness. Did anyone else experience this? They are prescription contacts...and ...both the freshlooks and acuvue..when i try them on..its hazy...it seems to be getting better...but does anyone know what causes this?? I had clear contacts before and it was fine
I just bought these colour ones so they are brand new...but i don't want to continue wearing them if it keeps hazing my vision..
Has anyone experienced this?!! Is it just because my eyes are adjusting to it??

They made my vision fuzzy, blurry. My eyes felt dry all the time, eyedrops didn't work.
I thought it happened because I didn't soak them for at least 8 hours.
but after I soaked them for 2 days, it was still the same.
I couldn't wear them for more than 2 hours, because they hurt my eyes so much
I tried wearing them for a week because I thought my eyes were still adjusting, no change at all.
They suck.

most optometrys will let you come in for follow ups for a month after your initial visit for free. you can always consult your dr. if they refuse to for free, you have a bad dr.
another problem with the color contacts sliding is that these brands you're using aren't CUSTOMIZED for your eyes. yeah, it has your perscription, but it all only comes in one base curve and diameter. and another prob. is that on color contacts, the dia is alot bigger. usually about 14.0mm, whereas clear ones are about 13.4-ish.
i've nevr tried acuvue though. @mywork, we reccomend against it bc they have so little color choice, and they look unnatural.
<3 i hope this helpd u a little.

aiya. you know that for the opt office, the contact business gives them free trial pairs with perscription for them to sample out to their prospective buyers? the 'trial pairs'. next time ask for one w/ perscription to be sure.. sometimes people want to make $ more than they care, which sucks for the rest of the population on the buyers side.

You're not going to ever see as clearly out of your color contacts as you will out of your clear ones. Simple as that. As the others have said, after a few times of wearing the colored lenses, you're eyes will adjust, and the lenses will settle onto your eyes. This will help eleviate the problem a bit, but like I said, it will never be as focused as the clear ones. Some people never have issues, some have issues but learn to deal, and some people just cannot get used to it at all - after a while you will know which category you fall into.
I highly doubt the problem has anything to do with the "fit" of your contacts - any credible doctor would choose a lens that fit you appropriately (i.e. the diameter/base curve). Since your Rx is already finalized, I think your best option would be to tough it out a week, and see if you can get used to it. Worst case scenario, you can go back to your doctor and see if he/she can help. Your choices are limited though, b/c there aren't alot of options for color lenses besides Freshlook, Freshlook Colorblends, Acuvue 2 Colors, and D3 Optics (which are very pricey - $200+ on average for one pair).
If you decide to go back to the doctor though, make sure you do it quickly - most offices have a set time period in which you can come back in if there are any issues - past that point you will more than likely have to pay an office visit fee.

because it might be expensive to get both at the same time, so do u keep your clear ones for backup?
