I told my sister Ha up in Jersey that I was going to learn how to drive soon.

This is what she had to say:
"o'lord...you on the streets of new orleans? Thank God I'm in New Jersey and out of harms way. I rather be jay walking in the streets of Manhattan then in the same city with either you or Vi behind the wheel."

I used to have some difficulty with the timing of the lights and when to brake, so my buddies were a bit paranoid about my driving early on. I used to focus too much on the lights while anticipating the light change.

One time I sped up when the light turned orange, then I realized I was too far off so I slammed on the brakes. It was embarrasing so instead of stopping I turned to the right pretending to make a right turn. laugh.gif I remember it quite vividly.

^ haha ><!
My sister Vi recently got her license and drove her car to work (she works in a mall). Well she gets there... but doesn't know how to park properly! She calls my sister Trang and tells her to drive all the way out to her workplace to park her car for her.
Trang refused. ><! Eventually, Vi had to park in the parking garage. hahah But she just got home via her navigation system, and said she was terrified 'cause it was dark and the system led her through narrow streets. My poor sister ><! lol

My friends say I am a very good driver....but I drive like a 'man.' LOL sorry to you males but wat she means is that I take too many risks behind the wheel so they're somewhat scared.

I remember making a u-turn right in the middle of a road. Completely caught all of them off guard coz they were kind of yelling LOL. Good times =)
Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won't either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have
to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or
betrayed, or left behind, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their
sweetness. Tell yourself that you tasted as many as you could." -- Louise Erdrich

I think I'm OK. I generally don't speed and I'm pretty good with checking my blind spots, for the most part.

The only thing I remember was the very first time I went behind the wheel.
And I remember saying this "how am I supposed to know what speed I'm going? if i'm driving, i don't have time to look at my odometer."

LOL hahahahaha....yeah biggrin.gif

At first, when I first got behind the wheel, it was scary but now. It is nothing. I did curb the car the first time I drove and that was the only time it I ever curbed it. 2 years of no curbing.

My friends are scared of my driving, although I drive a LOT slower when ppl are in the car. I generally drive fast alone, cuz if I get into any accident its just me and nobody else. And no I dont drive fast on purpose it's just a habit. Im not suicidal tongue.gif

im sure my buddies trust me cuz im a safe driver... but they still joke around about my driving cuz i hit a tree once... so every time we pass a tree or something they always got somthing to say... uggh. there was this one guy that used to get on me so badly after my accident... about how asians cant drive and how i should take driving lessons etc... when all i did was lose control once from bad road conditions.. and soon after, this man gets into four accidents(all his fault) in a matter of one month. i honestly didnt feel bad for him.

all in all, after my accident, it made me a much safer driver. i still give it the occasional pedal to the floor but only on straight roads.. and i dont speed. i think most people need to be given a warning sometime.
If you dont like my fire, then dont come around.
Cause I'm gonna burn one down

I like to drive and am pretty much familiar with the limits of my car, so I'm not overly aggresive but I'd say I'm assertive and I take empty lanes when I can.

One of my pet peeves is people who brake about 15 feet before the next car at a stop light and then slowly start creeping forward. So that's why I brake to stop where I'm supposed to stop, and I guess that scares my passengers.

im a pretty safe driver, if im gonna do something crazy i'd usually ask the passenger "do you trust me?" lol.. and usually they'll say yea so then i speed up/swerve lanes

Hahah ><! These are really funny to read. I had a friend who would typically drive over 80mph whenever there were empty roads.
It scared me like crazy, but I didn't think I should tell him how to drive in his own car.
One day, he was dropping me off when I warned him that there were cops that patrolled this one highway--he didn't listen and got a ticket.
I felt horrible 'cause he was taking me home, but he wouldn't let me help him pay for the ticket. =/

a lot of my friends are scared to drive with me because they think a loud car is going fast because i dont shift right away sometimes and they think it sounds like an airplane....

People are NOT okay with my driving.

But I don't care.

As far as I'm concerned, if they have problems with it, they should just stay off the sidewalks then.

They tell me I drive like a "guy" -__-
I think its because I like to drive fast and make abrupt turns/stops haha and my mom gets extremely paranoid when I park
