I tried clam chowder nce from a can when I was on the West Coast of the US...

I don't get it -- what do people like about it?
- the clams were really small and just kinda salty
- the rest of the soup was this broken down chunky sort of potato mash
- yuck

maybe the clam chowder i ate was badly made? can you describe what a nice clam chowder tastes or looks like?

I'm not too fond of canned clam chowder. Eat it homemade, it's so much better.

Ehh.. I LOVE clam chowder but the way you described it made it seem kinda gross. Good clam chowder is usually smooth and creamy and the clams are not supposed to taste very salty. >_< Maybe you should try it somewhere else. The east coast is known for having the best clam "chowda". xD

New England Clam Chowder is the best. Yum, I like the creamy texture. Seafood chowder is good too, where there's like bits of crab or whatever. I can live off of that stuff. Canned food can never compare to the real thing, whether it be clam chowder or.. uh, canned mac n cheese.

Went to the beach with my friend and we got clam chowder in a bowl made of bread. Very good.

yeah clam chowder on northeast is the best...and you have to eat in the cold weather...it will be more hearty.

Clam Chowder is the best ! It's nice and thick and ultra delicious.
But some people can't make it >_< And then it tastes horrible.

I love clam chowder. It taste really good!
