I'm not sure if this counts as law or not so if it does than I apologize and the mods can do as they see appropriate. smile.gif Anyone doing criminal justice? I am and finally figured out I want to do homicide. biggrin.gif Only thing I'm kinda weary about is the long hours that come with the job but I think it'd be worth it though.

I used to be a criminal justice major. But it's kind of a useless major if you're looking to go into law school :T (as I found out later). Most law schools prefer people who were either English, political science or philosophy majors.

I have only a few friends that ended up sticking with it, but one of them works as a police officer now.

I understand that. I want to do homicide and am very passionate about that. smile.gif I'm studying criminology now and am enjoying it. So far I've had the same professor for my criminal justice courses and he's fun and I always enjoy his classes and he's a former officer himself who used to focus on corrections. I was going to do law but I figured it was would take too much time and money and plus I'm more into homicide now days than straight up law.

i'm take a few courses on it while finishing up my upper division GEs.

i'm interested in criminal profiling and other fields.

might be doing an internship for the LAPD this summer.
hopefully while doing it, i'll get to experience other things i might be interested in.
gotta get more info about it from my professor.

Ah got ya. At the local university it's by itself. I'm hoping I don't have to transfer and I think to get the first level of degree I don't have to so if that's the case I could be finished by next fall. Yay!
