okay well, after discussing with my dad, its between the

honda crv ex-l awd

or the

nissan rogue sl awd

new car instead of used car, although i really wanted a used one, ill be paying monthly for the car

honda crv = 24,000 (dealer quote including destination charge)
nissan rogue = 22,935 (kbb quote w/ leather seats including destination charge)

so besides the obvious price difference, what other differences are there i should know about? and which one would you guys pick between the two? thanks

you can look in your local newspaper or autos.yahoo.com

with a 10k limit, stick w/ something japanese :X[not to be favoring but honestly...japanese made > american]
honda civic? good mileage and cheap...or an accord if you want more room?
you can look around for a tC...or maybe a nissan? it depends on what your preferences are

i would choose japanese over american, im thinking of maybe a honda or toyota?
and my dad brought up the idea of leasing, should i just get a old car, or lease for 2 years?

Leasing will own you up the butt in insurance. In my opinion, it's not worth it. With 10k, I would look into an older model accord or camry. Those things just go and go.

I've never been into a Rogue, so I can't comment about that car

I was going to get honda Crv, I thought it's a good family car.
but when I sat inside, I had 2nd thought about it.
It's soooooo small

I don't think I can fit many stuff in the back.

I have a nissan rogue, full package save the tech stuff and let me tell you, the drive is 100 times better than the CR-V. The rogue is a bit smaller, but im 5'11 and i can fit in teh back comfortably when my 5'10 brothers in the driver seat. Sound system is much better than the CR-V. Fit and finish is a lot better than the CR-V as well, at least in my opinion. Ive test driven 2 cr-v's and they were good cars, but the ride was really boring, and theres no solid center console etc.
