i think of uc riverside as uber failure

if someone asks me what college i go to, and i say UCR my face kinda gets red. i don't know why but I think of UCR as a ghetto stupid school (mods dunt ban me lulz)

so i chose to go to a community college and transfer over to UCSD.

I've heard for East Lo, there is a crazy waiting list right now for parking permits....before, I was thinking I prolly wasn't gonna bring my car down to UCR, but now it seems like I'm going to have to do that. If you don't have a permit, I heard you have to park out on the streets...? Isn't that unsafe, considering the number of break ins and muggings UCR has seen?

Should I just get on the waiting list for the hell of it?

lol it doesn't matter what school you go to with that kind of attitude, it'll all be the same whether it be UCR or some ivy league school. School's reputation is one thing, it's what you make out of the school. In college, the majority of the things you learn are OUTSIDE of classroom. Plus, there are other factors like scholarship and majors. So yeah, I'll take my full scholarship and a broader selection and varities in business and head over to UCR and not encounter people like you.

I also rejected UCSD and USC for UCR with scholarship so don't go thinking that everyone that goes to UCR are all rejects, there are other factors.

dont say that, we as ucr students hear that enough already. in case u haven't noticed the reason why we have a high acceptance rate is so that we can admit more students so that we can grow into a bigger uc. we havent built up a strong reputation yet, but watch us, we will. good luck with ur college life, but im sorry to say this i wouldnt be surprised if u didnt get too far in life with this kind of thinking. like the people above me i too agree that you are rude and you chose not to think outside of the "box".

Bb, I had a similiar problem with that. You still get your finical aid, the extra amount. But I suggest you talk to the Student Business Service office.

^^Outstanding balance means that's how much you have due to UCR that hasn't been paid. Maybe there was some kind of glitch? You should probably call the Cashier's Office and ask them about how to pay with the financial aid. Their phone number is here: ( 951 ) 827 - 3208

Edit: Btw if you pay late there is $50 fee and you should find out how to fix the problem soon because you don't want your classes to be dropped.

^ Go there to fill out the health waiver, you'll have to provide info on your health care provider for proof. Hope that helps!
