You won't hit your head if you sat up. They aren't as high as bunk beds. They are just a little higher than your average bed, so that your dresser can go underneath and the dresser is only like three drawers. I'm like 5'3 and the bed only comes up to about hip high.

It's $294 to be exact. I checked right off of my GROWL page.
I hate to blow it, but the Riverside area is NOT fun. Very ghetto. Only places to eat...I can honestly say I've been like EVERYWHERE. The obvious place to start is the University Village (UV for short), which has a Pho Vinam, Denny's, Del Taco, 7-11, Fat Burger, some crappy Chinese food place, and Boba Cafe. Across the street there is a smaller plaza consisting of Life Cafe, Subway, Mongolian BBQ, Wienerschnitzel, and a Carl's Jr. A little way down University Avenue, there is a Ten Ren's, I-HOP, and University Cafe (DON'T eat @ University Cafe...their food is horrid). There's a Mc Donald's a little while down the road, too.
There's a good Thai place on Chicago Ave, but I forgot the name.
Then to shop, there's The Galleria at Tyler (most people just call it Tyler). Trust me, it gets boring after like 3 visits. I only go there once in a while to check out the H&M and GUESS there. Near Tyler there's this all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ place, a Mc Donald's, a KFC, and a Baskin Robbins.
Other shopping, there's a Target on Arlington Avenue and a Rite Aid on University Avenue. There's a Canyon Crest Town Center or something off the 91 Freeway that has Old Navy, Target, Wal-Mart, Marshall's? Or was it Ross?
There's also a Moreno Valley Mall, but just don't go. Trust me. Ghetto ass place.
Iono but yeah honestly that's it. I gave you like the entire low down of Riverside. Not a fun place. If you're Asian and a very "Asian" person (like I am), you're not gonna like Riverside, sorry. If you drive, you can be crazy like me and drive on the 60W back towards Rowland Heights/Diamond Bar/Hacienda Heights to where it's very Asian.

I responded to your Facebook message. I don't speak Cantonese, but I am Chinese. Haha

Only restaurant would be this Korean BBQ place a while's away from campus. There used to be a Korean food place in the UV plaza, but it closed. As for Korean markets, you're totally out of luck. I feel your pain about non-Asian food.

There's Cafe Gossip in MoVal if you want korean food. It's like a 10 minute drive from UCR.
And as for markets, there is one on Magnolia Ave. called Kiren Asian Market. I've never been there so I can't say much.
What kind of Asian food are you looking for? There are a couple SEAsian markets in MoVal with basic stuff.

VICTORIA! =D
I forgot the name of the place, but I'm sure if you ask around, people will know of it. Apparently a lot of people go there. I've only gone there for dinner...it's $16.99 I believe, so if you add tip and all that crap, it turns out to be like $20 exact. I'm not particularly fond of the place since I feel some places in Rowland Heights/Diamond Bar are so much better.
And it's like right across from Tyler. In a small ghetto plaza w/ a KFC in front.

Yes, MoVal is pretty ghetto and quiet.
Good job on summarizing everything around Riverside.
There are a couple of other places to eat pass the MoVal mall; like In-N-Out, BJ's, Olive Garden, and Outback Steakhouse.
And as for shopping, there's also Super Target and Super Wal-Mart further along the 60/215.

Dang woman, you know a lot. We should meet up and go eat. Jk
And I completely agree with you on the Korean BBQ not being worth it. I don't think I directly mentioned that in my post. My friend always rave about it and love going and yeah I've personally seen better places. And do you know the name of the tofu place near Tyler? I love soon doo boo. I might check it out this week.
And haha dude I'm from Rowland/Hacienda so yeah for sure that area is poppin. Asian sensation.

I was thinking about living out by sycamore highlands area -- off fair isle about a mile or 2 away from campus
5800 Fair isle Drive, Riverside, CA 92507
but my friend advised that theres traffic heading on 60west towards campus in the morning/all afternoon. is it too far to live > a mile away from school????
