^good luck commuting from that far ]: which freeway will u be taking? ugh the 91 is ALWAYS packed. i even go the extra effort when i go home to take the friggin 60 -__- cause it saves me a lot of time. id rather drive an extra 15 miles and save myself an hour of waitin in traffic. why dont u try living in apts?

if u guys need help, feel free to PM ill try to help.

neway, neone in bus 106 this quarter? and anyone selling bus 107, bus 102 and bus 155 books? i need them for summer ]:

Yeah I agree. I always pass the 91 when I'm on the 60 going back home and....wow. Everyone has to jam pack to change to that freeway.

And IDK which direction you're coming from but the 60W gets packed near Ontario and Diamond Bar sometimes, so eh. I suggest staying near campus. Better than being held up in like 30min traffic and being late to classes. One of my friends suffers through that and she's missed so many of her classes.

Dude from Westminster? You're gonna die from the traffic. I honestly suggest living near campus.

The On Campus Apartment applications were due like way back in March. March 23rd I think it was.

And my question for people in this thread: Is anyone going to be in Glen Mor next year? I am and I'm tripping out about payments because all I've paid is the $250 deposit around when I submitted the contract. Since then I've never received any email or notice of upcoming payments. Isn't this kinda weird?

Is everyone supposed to take a Foreign Language placement test?

I didn't even think about it until today.. it's probably too late to sign up.

Yeah, I believe Foreign Language is a requirement so everyone needs to take a placement test.

As to whether it is too late or not, I'm not sure. Since classes start again in the fall, I would think there would be chances to sign up and take the test throughout the summer and in the early fall before school starts.

no, u dont need to take a foreign lang. test. it is NOT needed for everyone. please go talk to ur advisor because it depends on ur major. im a business major and i have to take foreign lang. you only take the test if you plan to take the same language that u have some background in. for example, i am vietnamese and if i wanted to take viet at UCR i would have to take the test to see what level i am in. they do this so ppl cant get an easy A, but there are ways around it -___-. also, i took french for 3 years in high school and if i wanted to take french at UCR i would have to also take the test. but i took korean, so i didnt need a test. =] so it depends what major u are. some majors dont need to take it

ahaha yeh i know what you are talking about with those in the frats/sororities paryting/staying out late all the time.
but i think this one is sort of different? in the letter and the ucr website it says it's some kind of honors organization (not under fraternity/sorority category), and you get invited by having a certain gpa (not through rushing or whatever), and that you have to keep your gpa up each semester to not get kicked out. supposedly they are a "leadership, honors, and volunteering" organization lol so you'd just have to volunteer and whatnot. but there are probably parties too, who knows tongue.gif (though i'm not really that kind of person)

but anyways i sent my membership fee today, i'll just see how it goes haha ><

Some people have told me (don't quote me) that some frat/sorority organizations BS their credentials and honors things.

But I mean I guess again, it's all depending on what type of frat/sorority you plan on joining. Like I guess the more social ones will obviously, party it up more while the more community service based ones will spend more time on planning fundraisers, events, etc.

I know a few people in that co-ed business frat on campus. I have no idea what the name is, but I've heard they spend lots of time planning events and fundraisers, so yeah - they sound pretty legit to me
