Bannockburn is realllllllly shoddy. Not kidding. It's good as a cheap alternative but I wouldn't recommend it. At all! If you're thinking school apartments, I would say Glenmore would be the best. It's the best out of all the oncampus apartments to me. UV Towers isn't too bad either. For off-campus, I currently live in Grand Marc and I really like it [only problem: walls are fairly thin but it's not that big of a deal, I assume any on-campus apartment has the same problem as well but I don't really know], people [like BEN/SHARK] also say it's dangerous but eh? I never saw any problems. Just live on a high floor. I've checked out Sterling and other apartments near the school and nothing really caught my eye.

Just touching on what Mentality34 said, I feel you should really set aside the time to visit the apartments available. It all comes down to personal preference and standards. I currently live in Glen Mor - it's fairly similar to the layout of one of UCR's residence complexes, Pentland Hills. I like it but I feel extremely lonely and nearly trapped at times, as I'm not very close to my roomates. It also doesn't help that I'm all the way down the hall on the top floor.
Sterling, which is on University Avenue, looks ballin to the max from the outside. I don't know what it's like on the inside, but I've heard word that it's a plain jane.
Falkirk, International Village, Grand Marc are all popular choices for second years-on. A friend of mine also lives at Summer Ridge, which is very close to campus (next to Bannockburn, actually) - I don't know what it's like there, though. I echo with Mentality34 and do not recommend Bannockburn Village.
Good luck.
ROFL
You would say something like that...

Norcal?
To be honest, your only options are the prefurnished, unless your family has vans and a moving truck or something. I believe Glen Mor, UV Towers, Sterling, and Grand Marc are the main furnished ones. You can get furnishings for any of the other school owned MAYBE if you ask about it ahead of time.

Well I think first off, the school systems are different. UCR is a UC, Cal Poly is part of the Cal State system, and SDSU is a state university (or which category it should be under). I'm guessing it depends on what kind of education you want to pursue, and your major can definitely help you decide sometimes.
Also, the 3 environments of the school are different. UCR honestly is like a desert - extreme weather and on a personal note, I feel like it's a barren trap (I know many, esp the party ppl, will disagree). SLO and SD are beach like. I guess the type of living environment can come into play too.
Hopefully someone with more info can help you out and give you more detailed answers. I'm just throwing in my 2 cents.

He said theyre already doing a lot of stuff that cater to your major, like i think he was making circuit boards and battery stuff already. he said he pretty much enjoys it, but the work load is a lot.
From what he told me, the weather is pretty warm? I guess? But it does get reeeeeeeeeeeeally cold.
their thursday farmers market is amazing btw.

Well done.
...But no really, that's not too big of a deal. I learned that if you're really bad at a certain class, then resort to a subtle form of ass kissing. Just go to their office hours for help and show interest in the subject they teach and you're guaranteed a better grade.
If you're bad at that sort of thing, perhaps it's best to practise now...as this is how the world works.

Elissa Weeks. Enough said
What I think is that in college English classes, don't be too bummed by crappy essay grades. Professors all have their own bias and some have really ridiculous and anal standards. If you get a bad essay grade, visit your professor's office hours and discuss with them on how to improve (in their standards). I did that with my English 1A professor for every essay I wrote during the quarter (she was a very hard grader) and I ended up with an A-.
