Oh I suddenly remembered! haha. So I double checked. I got the results through e-mail. I got it in my UCR e-mail inbox (I put that e-mail address on the form that I filled out at the site before taking the test) on June 11th of last year, so assuming that the procedure stays the same, you should get your result in June? I forgot when I took the MAE test, but it was sometime in May at a community college.

By the way, if you guys haven't started yet, you guys should get into the habit of checking your UCR student email You guys may be getting some important info there already; for example, I was just looking back at some of the old messages in my inbox, and there are emails about the MAE test, including a link to off-campus sites to take it... :] And next year when you guys are actually here, you'll realize how much you'll check your email, because professors and TAs often send emails/announcements out.

Oooh, ok. Thank you. I've been checking my UCR e-mail in hopes they'd send me results. The thing is, I wrote my
UCR e-mail wrong in that form lol, but I knew I did so after the test I told the students (It was at UCR) to correct it for me, because I got the first part of the e-mail right, but not the actual address....so yeah. Maybe they failed me. That would be displeasing...Thanks again for the information.

miyuki: I'm from Norcal, anything above 95 is hot. It sucks, I do really bad in heat too. Thank god its cooling down. I hope it stays 80ish till the end of the year

what size are the beds?

^ the beds at ucr dorms are twin-long. they're basically as wide as a twin bed, but is a tad longer. you should bring your own sheets...you don't know who has been on that bed and what has been going on there. for my freshman year i also bought a thin sheet thing from target to go over the bed before i put on the bedsheet so that i don't feel dirty.

i stayed in east lothian. hope you all get good hallmates!

how is east lothian? i didnt really get a chance to visit the dorm rooms there. i only visited pentland, and even those rooms were pretty small.

east lot is def bigger than pentland that's for sure. good thing about pentland is that it's quiet and every building has their own laundry thing whereas east lo only has one huge one and it's on second floor [i didnt complain i lived on second floor in east lo XD]

does anyone know if you need any sort of.... shot before you get into the dorms? cus when i registered for csulb housing they mentioned something about having a shot or vaccine before you dorm... not sure if this applies to ucr tho.

I'm currently attending at UC RIVERSIDE and it's really not that bad here. I'm pretty sure you'll get lonely from time to time here because there isn't much to do here, but eventually you'll find lots of things to do here just make the right choices. I'm currently staying at West Lothian and it really suck! I put down for East Lothian though, but I didn't get it. Although, I didnt get it.. I made lots of friends at West Lo and plus its not like you'll be stuck there, because you actually make more friends and they'll most likely be from different residence! =] You'll bond.

and how much days do an orientation take? because it says from CHASS
session 1: July 7-8
session 2: July 11-12

so does that mean a orientation requires two days to finish?
