I feel like I'm going to fail Math 9B.

I barely passed AP Calc senior year and I passed the AP test but I feel completely unprepared. The learning community guy wouldn'tn let me duplicate my math credits and take Math 9A...T.T

Stop worrying geez >:o. You'll probably get a better grade in Math9B than I will in Math9A, considering I haven't taken a proper math class in a year.

Does anyone know what the Honors Chem book is called? I heard it was "Molecular Nature of Matter and Change", but I'd like a confirmation.

It's the regular General Chemistry book, just go to the bookstore and look up your course or go to the bookstore's web page and search for it. All the honors classes will use the same book as the regular class. It should be the purple one by SILBERBERG. Books for fall term aren't listed yet, so wait a couple of weeks for the website to update (it's under textbooks): http://www.ucrcampusstore.ucr.edu/home.aspx

typically, how many units should a science major take each quarter?
i'm only taking 16 this quarter and alrleady all my college student friends are telling me it's too much since the classes are hard?
because i'm afraid i won't graduate in 4 years if i take less units....

15.

15 per quarter for 3 quarters a year is 45, then 4 years is 180. 180 is the requirment for graduation.

And trust me, it shouldn't be too hard. I heard most people do 3, but I'm doing 4 classes and maxed out all my units (20) at the same time. mellow.gif

It isn't to bad to do more than 16, its not that difficult but it depends on you :/.

As shark people mentioned people do around 3-4, some do 5. So basically 14-20 units.

I have a question....do the East Lo rooms come w/ a fridge?

Because @ orientation I noticed that Pentland suites all came w/ a fridge so I'm wondering if it's the same for East Lo.

Thanks

All dorms come with a mini-fridge. I'm not sure about the larger "community" fridges.

Just wondering, did anyone here get an extended summer because UCR goes on the quarter system? I know my old high school starts in three weeks, on the 25, exactly one month before we start. I'm gonna be sitting at home because my older brother has college and my younger sister is still in high school. >.<

Cal (Berekely) starts very soon, at the end-ish of August.

We start around the same time as most of the other UC's. I think San Diego's move-in is one day after ours.

most UCs start in the last half of september. we start the latest. just by a few days. we start late and end late. as u can tell with cal for example they start in mid august and end mid may due to their semester system. i dont complain. i enjoy the time off.

I'm wondering about how does the internet access thing work
like as in what stuff I need to buy to hook up my laptop with the school's internet.
Thanks.

does anybody have a heart, that isn't made of broken parts?
'cause we're all willing to be torn in two for one taste of bliss.

Nothing.

I believe you can use your Student ID # and PERM PIN or something like that to login into the Internets.

Does anyone else think the summer is passing very, very slowly?

I don't want to start school but it'll be quite dull until then.
