I don't know much about cars.. But I am getting my first car soon so I need a little help smile.gif
My price range is $50,000 or less... And I have to get it in Automatic.

But I have my eyes on BMW 335i, Acura TL, Lexus IS350 or IS250.
Opinions/Suggestions? (:

edit.
I think I left out some info that I should've put up in my original post.. but.
- I'm a Junior in High School,
- Yes, I'm a girl.
- The car has to be new, my dad doesn't like used cars..
- I'm not going to be racing or anything with it :X I just need a car to drive around.

I don't know if that'll have any impact on your feedback, but thank you! smile.gif

50k to spend on a car, that's pretty nice..
here is their pros and cons (didn't consider acura tl though..)
335i is faster around track, is350 is faster in straight line.
is350 will last longer than 335i.
some people will say that you're driving a toyota if you're driving a lexus.
i don't know about is350 but 335i won't a quiet, smooth ride.
335i feels the road, that's why when you drive 335i it feels sporty while is350 really doesn't. (at least for me)
335i will go over 50k if getting it fully loaded.
335i gives you 4yrs/50k miles FREE maintenance program. (which is about 2/3 engine oil changes, and brake pads/caliper change.)

But i strongly do not recommend getting either one of those for your first car. that's just my opinion.

Are you guys keeping in mind that the OP doesn't know much about cars?
I'd rule out the 335 and is350 altogether. A 328 or is250 will be just fine for you. Cheaper in both initial cost and insurance and probably safer. That said, nothing beats an actual test drive.

Are you serious about this? Is there like a combination for rocket boosters? emergency ejection seat? gattling gun?

I'm going to try this on my Miata... maybe it'll turn on AWD.

Like someone else said, nothing better than test driving both yourself.
but man... lot of lexus enthusiasts in here.
i feel like i'm the only bmw enthusiast..
ok..back to the op.
you are a junior in HS, a girl, new car and no racing.
What made you think you want 335i ?? not 328i ??
Well 335i is twin turbo, which really isn't a reliable car.
( as the car gets old ) plus almost every 335i had fuel pump issue.
So when you get and your car won't accelerate and starts dying, it's the fuel pump.
But 328i isn't twin turbo, so it'll be a lot more reliable than 335i.
If you live in area where it rains a lot and snows.
You need 328/335Xi. ( Xi, not just i ).
Xi. is basically the same thing except for it's all wheel drive.
Which will be a lot more safer than rear wheel drive.
Also if you are going with BMW, you have choices between sedan, coupe, hardtop convertible. tongue.gif
Xi is not available with hardtop convertible i don't think...
And if you get a BMW, make sure you get Comfort Access!
well let me know which one you decide to get and hope this helped.

Haha I really.. don't know much about cars.. Just basic things.
The reason I was thinking about 335i is because some oppas I know recommended it to me.
I live in Atlanta and it rarely ever snows down here.. So I don't have to worry about that.
But thank you! (:

If I was a girl i'd go for the IS350... If it was me I'd go for the 335i just to play with it.

Have you ever looked up Audi's??? Like the S4? or even a porshe.

Wait if you can afford a 50k car for your first car isn't your highschool in a rich neighborhood or a private school? You should be seeing them all over the student parking lot.

Umm, I go to a public school haha.
Nah, the nicest car I've seen in our student parking lot is a Lexus IS250 & Audi A4, haha.

How about the Acura TSX? It's a nicely equipped car that fits a teenager life style.

lol really I just thought if you were able to get a 50k car you would be living in a rich neighborhood. And living in a rich neighborhood your public school would still have a lot kids that would drive around expensive cars as well, mine did.

IS350 sounds best for you.
