I've been sick for the past few days. The first day, my mom made me porridge and noodles. The next day, I went out to eat shabu shabu, then I had a bbq to go to at night so I ate some bbq food. Today, I went back to college, and theres no chinese stuff around here nor my moms cooking. So I have no idea what to eat. I just made a can of campbells chunky chicken noodle soup (healthy request version). I have no idea what to eat for dinner tonight. Anyone have any suggestions on what to eat, or what NOT to eat?

Chicken noodle soup or if that's even too much, rice porridge.

Avoid greasy fried foods or food with a strong smell. YUCK!

if ur chinese and ur living in a western college you have basically zero chance of getting ANY healthy food (unless the college chef is chinese and decides to cook chinese a lot).

what you do is cook instant mee with lots of vegetables when u r healthy as snacks.

if u r stickk sick (as now?) then i think you have to eat as much green vegeies as you can from the canteen and skip the meat. eat dessert (ice cream is good). if you can cook some rice and take it to the canteen and eat with the food there. make the rice wet like porridge.

Congee is always good when you're sick. Solid food can be hard to put down. Especially with a sore throat. My Chinese friends gave me this awesome boiled coke recipe that really works. Just take a bottle of coke, sliced lemons and ginger and boil in a pot for about an hour. It's like a "cure for all illness" tonic. I swear by it!

I usually stay away from oily or fatty foods when I'm sick. Also rich foods and heavy sauces.

I think I might actually have a cold coming on right now. Getting sick in the Spring or Summer really sucks!

Avoid DAIRY products lol.
Why'd you even eat bbq while you were sick? I can barely down anything solid when I'm ill...Like everyone else said, if it is still hard to keep solids down, go for SAFER dairy products like pudding or yogurt. Otherwise, go with the usual hot soup.
