Is there really a downfall to a color? ...Besides being dark maybe it gets hotter in the summer/warm season.

Yup, exactly what they said. It will be a little hotter and a clean black car can get dirty overnight while other lighter colors wont look dirty for much longer. HOWEVER a clean waxed black car is the sexiest color. My favorite car colors are black or white but I don't wash my car enough so I prefer white.

yes it is more difficult to keep it looking nice. black shows any imperfection. if you dont wash your car well you'll have swirl marks galore

Black car owner here. Looks amazing after a good wash/wax 4-6 days later it looks all dusty again. But that's what sat mornings are for! Car wash is a new chore tongue.gif
On a side note, was going home today on the highway and was about 2 car lengths behind this skyjacked F150 and it flung a rock right at my window... now there's a big chip tears.gif

Only bad thing about black cars is that any marks/dirt/whatever shows up more clearly than any other color.

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

Black is so hard to maintain. The amount of cleaner products bought to maintain is quite a lot. However, I don't regret it.

Like everyone else says, black is so much harder to keep clean. Every little thing on it shows up so easily. Also, the thing I hate about it is that minor scratches on the paint show up so easily.

i agree, to me black would be the nicest color to get for a car, sleekest imo...but those who are lazy and aren't willing to wax or clean it...don't get it..because you'll regret it
