just eating protein does nothing to build muscle. it'll just help you keep what you have.
in order to build muscle, you gotta work out. push your muscles to their limits so your body will build more.
im trying to gain muscle too right now

legs are important... most guys don't care about legs, but legs are where you can make the best gains in muscle mass. increased muscle mass will help burn fat faster, much faster. it hurts like hell, but legs are important!

At times I had to force myself to eat a little more. That's what I advise. Probably eating things that are simpler and not too taste-laden will help, because you can get tired of the taste if you eat too much of it!
My brother is really skinny too. He gained weight by eating 4 meals a day (midnight meal

He's an ecto as well and this was done without any steroids and just regular supplements. Try ordering supplements from supplement places online for things such as protein powder. Things such as protein powder are not expensive at all they are actually pretty affordable. You just need to know where to look its cheap shipping and handling in the states. Meat is not really cheaper than protein powder. Look at it this way, 1 scoop (32g) of whey protein is around 130 calories, 1.5g fat, and 24g of protein which is about a 3oz. chicken breast which is about 140 calories, 3g fat, and 25g of protein or a 3oz. beef sirloin which is about 170 calories, 7g fat, and 26g protein. ONE scoop of whey protein powder is 0.52 cents per serving as opposed to a 3oz. chicken breast or beef sirloin which is like whatever the price of meat is in your area but I don't think you can get a serving of meat for 0.52 cents. Also consider the fact that you cant always have time to eat all this solid food, for me especially in the morning, so a substitute is a protein shake in milk, gulp it down and youre on your way. It's like a really good substitute for meat. And last but not least is to drink A LOT of water, the general rule of thumb is a gallon a day. Water is used for every possible process in your body, it literally is life. You will also add on water weight which is not bad for you at all.

nicee progress.
that's after just 1 year? pretty good
I actually have whey protein around, since my brother drinks it, so I'll get started on that stuff.
Don't really have access to heavy weights, but I'll sign up for a gym membership later.
Busy with school at the moment so can't right now, but I need to work my way up anyways.
thanks for taking your time for this.
thanks to everybody else with their replies.

I drank lots of weight gainer though from GNC. I did a calorie intake sheet so I can at least get in 3,000 calories/day. I also bulked up a lot through lifting. If you're dedicated and hard working, it'll be easy. About the meals, buy in bulk from your local supermarket cause it's cheaper. I use to eat lot of beef and chicken for my main meals, then nuts and other health foods for snacks.

lol! i feel your pain!! i've been fluctuationg around 86-93lbs for sooOOo long now.. it's riddiculous though! i use take dance classes and did a lot of sports in high school and college, but haven't worked out at all since i started uni, and still haven't been able to gain weight. the funny thing is, i had dinner with a few friends i met this semester, they were so surprised that i could eat so much. i had ribs, chicken, mashed potatoes, and a huge slice of strawberry cake, and i still had room for ice cream. my friend was like "where does it all go??
by the way, i'm a little bit over 5'1"
No matter what else has changed in you or the world, that one song stays the same, just like that moment.

I'm skinny. Really!
I've tried vitamins, but no effect at all.
I can't even wear mini skirts or super short shorts, cause my legs are like.. popsicle sticks. LOL
Really, I am skinny! Meet me, so you'll see. LMAO
I'm even thinking I'm overqualified to be a runway model.LOL
Others say, a bottle of beer a day'll help you gain weight, aha!
